I made a 'fridge sweep' salad and added some cheese I had hanging around to jazz it up a bit because it's been a bright sunny warmish day here so I didn't feel like anything hot.

I had halloumi and spinach curry tonight as I had a pack of halloumi waiting for inspiration instead of my normal fry it or grill it attitude.

Also made a butter bean,  chorizo and pesto stew alongside for tomorrow.

I found the recipes on Cherrypick.  I paid for a subscription as I like the ability to choose recipes and put ingredients in my shopping basket for an online shop.

OH did a lovely job of mushrooms on toast last night.  Lots of mushrooms, cooked up with chopped lardons and red onion and finished with cream.  The toast was a sour dough boule from Lidl which had been sliced then painted with olive oil and herbs and then crisped in the oven.  Exceedlingly nice but he always gives me too much.  (he still thinks sometimes I should have the same size portions as he has)

Tonight we have butterflied seabass pre seasoned by Tasco with lemon peel and parsley.  They'll be pan fried and served with baby potatoes.  I must say though Tasco's idea of potatoes is a bit out of whack.  Try as I might to get small taters there's always a couple in the bag that might be baked instead of boiled!!!

Tomorrow there's duck breast which I intend to grill to crisp up and finish in the oven with a coating of sweet chili sauce.  Pak choy and rice to go along side.

Easy dinner this evening as we had lunch out with a birthday voucher. A part baked baguette we found in the back of the cupboard, eat by date tomorrow, with cheese and pickle

I hoicked a heel of bread out of the freezer, cut it into croutons and drenched it in vinaigrette before adding it to a salad and calling it panzanella.

Oh excellent idea!!  I've got a bit of sour dough, some nearly past it mushroom and a lot of tiny tomatoes just about ready to go mushy.  Panzanella would be a good way to use it all up!!

I’m currently marinating some chicken thighs in spices and Greek yogurt, and will turn that into chicken shawarma wraps with salad and homemade tsatziki tonight. There may be enough for tomorrow as well.
