    @MissRikkiC

    I was over on the vegan thread talking about bulk baking potatoes and MissR posted this question back....can anyone here answer it for her?

    Do you know if they’re reheated from frozen @Brie as I often batch cook 4 or 6 using my pressure cooker and freeze but I’ve been leaving them to defrost and then reheat and they’re just a watery mess.

    Ooh sorry, can't help - I have never frozen baked potatoes though I know several posters on here do that.

    Tonight I am mincing up the very last of the roast pork from Sunday and frying it with chopped onion, garlic, red pepper and red chilli then using it as a tostada filling along with refried beans and grated cheese. Not sure if this is a proper/recognised recipe, but it uses the leftovers up and seems quite an appealing idea  :D

    My bargain beef stroganoff that I snaffled yesterday morning reduced from the Waitrose food hall 99p including wild rice side. I'm not normally a ready made meal person but at the price I couldn't make it :) I only haver todays dinner to have as I'm out to et tomorrow at DDs then away on my holidays for a couple of weeks, so my fridge is virtually empty and absolutely no waste at all'

    For once the kids are eating separately to DH and I - soft food as smallest got (accidentally) hit in the face with a ball which has split his lip ☹️ So they are having salmon, mash and some peas which hopefully he can fork in without too much trouble!

    Not sure what we’ll have later, but might possibly be jackets with beans or tuna as I have some that need eating (some of my friends tell me that their DH’s refuse to eat jackets for dinner as it’s not a ‘proper meal’? I think mine knows where the potato would end up if he ever tried that 😉).
