@Florenceem I make flat breads with yoghurt dough.

Instead of baking,  roll them flat and cook on a high heat in the frying pan, both sides.

For dinner I made a gammon joint in the slow cooker. Roast potatoes and veg. I really didn't fancy a roast so had some halloumi and salad.

getting the pork chops out of the freezer.  OH has declared it should be a simple meal which is fine by me so likely just rice and maybe a couple of grilled peppers.

I've made a cheese and broccoli flan to have with salad for lunch, and we'll use some of the leftover roast pork to make barbecue pulled pork baps with salad for dinner.

As I'm using up as much as I can this week before going away on holiday I found a couple of sausages plus mash and veg from the freezer for my main lunchtime meal
At tea time I will have cheese on toast with a poached egg on top so thats all the cheese and the egg used up.Tomorrows meal will also be from the freezer. Possibly fish as I know I have some haddock in there.

Yesterday I made 6 individual shepherds pies using up the last of the potatoes from my veg bag and minced meat from the freezer. All safely tucked away and frozen for when I come home.

My fridge is almost empty now and nothing has gone to waste. I will literally be eating from the freezer until I go away :)

Found a bargainous chicken in M&S earlier so we had an unseasonal roast dinner with everything else from the freezer - bubble and squeak, stuffing, green beans and peas. Made gravy with the juices, delish. DH isn’t back yet so his portion is plated up in the microwave - kitchen closed early!

Yesterday I used up an unidentified portion of meat in ice I found in the back of the freezer. It smelt alright after defrosting in the fridge, so I cooked it with onion, celery, carrot and potatoes and a bay leaf in the pressure cooker. It made a generous meal of stewed pork, and we are fine.

Tonight I used a pack of Sainsbury’s sausage-meat, yellow-stickered to 54p, to make four large Scotch eggs. We had one each hot with steamed vegetables, and the other two will be enjoyed cold tomorrow with salad. I used oatmeal for the outer layer instead of breadcrumbs.

The eggs from our hens were so fresh that, when they were hard boiled, they were difficult to shell.
