Quick update from me.
Yesterday was a spendy day - did a quick shop for some necessities ans a few ys bits. finally managed to get into mum's bank accounts (was being managed by her partner's son and it is all set up to suit his computer), printed off the transactions and it allowed me to move money from 2 old accounts into her main one. Confirmed the info I needed to challenge the holiday company.
At mum's I sorted out the holiday stuff (person who deals with that company was off when we booked and the deposit we paid had not been entered into the system correctly). Paid the remainder and got mum to sign her tax form (late but not too late - will send that off).
Apart from making food - mum told me to sit down again if I couldn't do it, I spent most of my time on the couch, reading and sewing (DS1's - and his fiancee's - new house gift) and colouring cardboard pumpkins. I was still dizzy yesterday and today - obviously I have gone past what I am capable of and need to rest. Staying home today.
I need to tackle the kitchen but if I have to stay upstairs I still have plenty to do. DS3 and Beloved are having people to stay but don't know if they are coming on Monday or before. Will just plod through - think most of mum's paperwork can be filed in the 'historic' bit once the tax return has been posted.
Need to set up thrifty's one book for all the lists system - have been trying for several weeks, keep transferring the contents of old notebooks into one - have bought a large diary for next year to accommodate stuff as it is surprising how often a random question comes up at an appointment. Mum's pills came on tuesday and several changes have now been implemented (some took 3 attempts).
Will be back later, turning the laptop off now and not let pinterest steal another hour of my life.
For yesterday I am grateful for the colours of the autumn leaves, for having the chance to rest and do interesting sewing, for sorting frogs. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -

Frog challenge....I like it!:D There used to be a thread on here about that I think.....
So, my frogs.....
1. Get rid of the furniture in the house - 2 bookcases, a coffee table & a dining room table and six chairs (I have someone who may be interested in the dining set)
2. Clear the clutter in the spare room - upstairs and down
3. put up the curtain rail in the front room and hang the curtains
4. Get the radiator cover collected and fitted
5. Move the swivel sofa to the bedroom upstairs
6. Move the cd's and dvd's to the shelving in the spare room
I want to achieve these by the end of October if possible - the furniture may take longer to shift but I am really keen to start November as clutter free as possible.
Other things that I need to do are quit smoking and ease up on the drinkingI enjoy both but I have had enough of them to be honest.... I have a total of five social engagements between now and the end of the year so I if I change my drinking habits to weekends and those engagements only, I'm sorted on the drinking front. The smoking I am going to quit either Sunday or Monday. I'm out tonight and tomorrow with another smoker so there is little chance that I will stop before- I'm not setting myself up to fail! Sunday, if I feel it's right, I'll stop; if not, then I will be a non-smoker from Monday...:D
I want to change how I spend my evenings too.....I spend a lot of time playing games on my phone at the moment - I think it's because the house is in such chaos with the painting etc that is going on, I can't bear to look at it! That will all be cleared this weekend and the house cleaned so I'll be able to utilise the rooms in my house without the feeling of despair! :rotfl: I want to start to bottle my wines, paint, read etc again and once I have some order in my life again and am on top of things, I will be able to do that.
I know it seems a lot to be trying to achieve in 11 days but I'm feeling really positive about it all....the only thing that stops me from living the life I want, is living the life I am so it's time to change!:D

Wednesday was a NSD. Yesterday and today have not so I'm at 8/15. Hoping for one NSD this weekend and some more during the week. Yesterday I forgot to bring lunch to work so went to Gregs. Bad move. Was tempted by all the sweet treats. I have decided to rejoin slimming world and today is day one.
Spendy day as I got a large picture frame and some wall-paper to create a rustic style table plan for the wedding. Will pop into Home Bargains tomorrow and get some trimming to go around the frame. It wasn't a super cheap purchase but the picture frame can be re-used and the left over wallpaper can be stored until we decorate a small room like the downstairs toilet. There is enough for a feature wall of it (its light grey brick pattern) so I think it'd look alright in there!
Also got some fresh coriander for dinner and i might have grabbed a bottle of wine whilst I was at it!
My diet has been good today (to make up for the massive failure of yesterday) and hopefully I'll shift some pounds with a more structured diet before the big day. I'm hoping for four pounds at least - not too much to ask for!!February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00
