    Today was not a NSD.
Spent £1.20 on some alcohol free beer for me and a few £ on regular beer for DH out of personal spends.
No exercise done today either, I drove to work as had to be in early, that's really quite lazy but I'm ok with that.
Organise...I managed to get my washing on the line at 6am this morning and got home to bring it in just before it started raining for the entire weekend.
Role reversal again today, I made my own dinner and DH did painting as soon as he got home

Slow day. Arm is still painful and I am still quite tired - drifted off to sleep again once or twice. I am also a bit tearful, possibly due to tiredness.

I can see what I have done and hope I can plod on for a while longer yet. Found a spill which had left a brown stain so quilt (winter quilt folded away under my bed) thrown down to go over the line. Loads of washing and rubbish thrown down (old telephone book and some bits had also been soaked). One large bin bag condensed into 2 small bags.

Had to move 3 boxes as the bottom one was a basket containing material. The corner of the basket had got wet but the contents were fine - last time I repacked the box I had put some green material in a strong plastic bag at the bottom.

Doing quite well on saving money as I have so far found a set of dividers, some coloured threads I need for a (Christmas present) project as well as my box of 'use up' threads which may have some of the colours a friend needs. Some things not yet found but I still ahve to pull out the bed and recover anything that has fallen between the bed and the wall (probably some time tomorrow).

The green material I found is also suitable for a storage project I need (pockets to go inside a bag/ inside an old expanding file which has broken/ on a rail across the door - all to hold/ transport pens and other craft materials). I've had the material for a while, it's an inoffensive but not drool worthy green and I paid a £1 a yard (possibly metre) so I can afford to make a mistake or two whilst experimenting.

Today I am grateful for easy food, for making progress and for not crying although I feel sad and tearful.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

Check in 20/31 and NSD #11.
Food was leftovers / from supplies.
Grateful for the start of half term and hoping it's productive on many fronts.

Kerry Woman we used to have an issue with mice, especially when the dc were young and had a habit of dropping food all the time, when the weather turned cold they ventured inside for somewhere warm and dry. We tried traps through out the house, peppermint oil, high frequency plugins - which only affected the dc who could hear them. Finally dh (anti pet) gave in and allowed me to rehome a cat which became two as I couldn't separate them from their sibling now could I(!).
    Problem resolved.

motherSorry to hear youre feeling teary, I hope you're feeling much better tomorrow and your pain improves soon too.

Today I have gutted garage, cleaned garden and cleaned the house. Feeling organised and calmer as a result. Tomorrow I am going to clean the car. :D

Diet hasn't gone great but there you go. Over all a positive day, and I should focus on the positive.

Greatful for the time to catch up on jobs, my eldest going straight to bed and a nice chat with my brother.

Somehow I have not managed to update since Monday, I'm not sure why, well it is a low priority on days when we are very busy. Looking at budgets, it looks as if we have turned into a family of hermits, we haven't, on Tuesday as well as grocery shopping we went to a Home Education (HE) monthly workshop, but this month was free. Not that would have shown here as we keep a track of our HE spends separately. On both Wednesday & Thursday, we entertained friends and family at home keeping the costs low, all food & drink came out of the grocery budget. I have at least been keeping up with everyone's posts.

    Morning all :)

It’s finally half term :) and onbviously I woke up before 6am :rotfl:

Yesterday wasn’t a SFD as I needed petrol, parking and bought butter. Had a lovely trip to the theatre with my friend and her parents. I am completely out of money so put £10 in my car to last until Wednesday. I think I have £8 across my three bank accounts and about £4 in cash but that should see me to Wednesday. I’ve not got any social plans that involve spending, I turned down breakfast out today and tomorrow my mum is treating the family to a cinema trip and Nando’s :)

Mothernerd eating frogs and a toad or two is just what I need! This half term week I pledge to:-
    - paint the door to the cloakroom, which was fitted last November
    - whilst the paint is out, paint all the new woodwork inthe new bathroom
    - clear out all the upstairs wardrobes and cupboards and get things where I want them (the new bathroom upstairs means a change round is in order)
    - price up getting a futon for the spare room (this is a want not a need) but the spare bed has been slept in less than 10 times in 7 years and it drives me insane that it takes up 2/3 of the second bedroom.
    - figure out all money movements over the next few months (new windows, MOT etc) I should have all the details and costs by midweek
    - clean all the windows

I’m off for a bit of a doze (hopefully)
    LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)
New roof and car £8557/£19003 New kitchen £396/£5039 Credit card Paid Student loan Paid
  • Yesterday was NSD 8/12.
Tackled a few frogs. Cleared the hall cupboard and managed to store some things in it. Threw out a lot of old paperwork and masses of old Christmas bags, paper and cards which C insisted on keeping even though they will never be used. They are now hidden in the bottom of the bin underneath everything else in case he finds them.Today I'm going to start on the bathroom - still lots of nice toiletries in there but I know they will never be used so will offer them to the little girls who live a few doors down and anything leftover I'll ask the Sally Army if they want for their homeless shelter. Want to also go through my jewellery boxes, None of it is expensive but lots of it is and never will be used - small ones could have lots of fun using it for dressing up. I think all of this is just not wanting to get rid of things.
Greent - Enjoy your holiday. I understand the fat finger syndrome totally.
Mothernerd - Hope you feel better soon. Love today's inspiration.
    Have a good weekend.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.
