What is it like if you don't put it in the freezer though ... I don't have a freezer and am loathe to try this out if it'll end up a sh1te, expensive, disappointing mess/goo.
I've always made my own alcopops using cheapest vodka and "no sugar added" fizzy drinks. I get a huge range of flavours, minimum calories and none of they're a lot cheaper. My favourite so far has been vodka + Pepsi Max Coffee Cino. The vodka really brings that drink alive!0 -
I saw a recipe for Christmas Pudding Vodka. Might give that a go. My aunt m made her own Baileys one year as well xx0

What a fantastic idea; that sounds like a cheap Black Russian - which in my younger days was Tia Maria, Vodka & Coke. Scrummy.Do not allow the risk of failure to stop you trying!0 -
made chilli vodka about 3 nights ago, with 2 long red thin chillis, 1 short fat green one, and 3 scotch bonnets, all except the one without seeds..
we tasted it tonight. just to see if the taste was going into the vodka (!).. i had a tiny sip, enough to wet the lips and boy. its strong already. Ahem. Good thing its for the ex who likes fire in his belly..

Baileys is a doddleThe early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese :cool:0 -
ok so its been about 12 hours and the worthers original vodka is now a nice creamy sand colour. Tasting it, I feel it needs more worthers so will be going off to get some more in a bit. Tasting good so far though. Hadnt thought about sweets in vodka until yesterday. I started out with Sloe Gin last October, moved on to experiment with all sorts of soft fruit in gin and vodka, and have just filtered my rasberry gin, strawberry gin (very nice) and Bramble gin through muslin. Mixed fruit, cherry, and this years new batch of sloe gin to go. Not sure about the bramble vodka with demerara sugar though, tasts more like rum to me at the moment. The idea was to give them as gifts but its going to be hard to give them away. Now about this mars vodka. For a 70cl bottle how many normal bars would I need?I think I am going slightly mad.....0

I like the idea of mars vodka too so same question from me please... How many mars bars do we need ?
ps I was cracking up with you 'displacing' the vodka :rotfl:0 -

So I added rice milk and now it's YUM :j I think we need more Werthers though, only put in a 150g bag...................oh and don't smash them with a tyre lever in your car, makes everything go sticky ESPECIALLY the dashboard

How about adding a spoon or two of condensed milk? That should both add to the creaminess and sweetness too.
