How about adding a spoon or two of condensed milk? That should both add to the creaminess and sweetness too.

  • This site has loads of recipes for fruit and herb vodkas and also for making your flavoured vodka into liqueurs.

  • so what do we reckon a mars bar or condensed milk (they should never have invented easy pour condensed milk its almost as quaffable as the dooley vodka effort), but i agree, cheap vodka needs something to make it creamier, silkier and sweeter
I think I am going slightly mad.....
  • I'm loving this idea!! I'd like to make some flavoured vodka's for my siblings and their partners as xmas gifts. We don't normally 'do' adult presents but I think this would be a nice token and a good talking point on christmas day!!
My main query though as I'm a bit strapped for cash is would budget vodka be as nice (eg asda smartprice?) I wouldn't normally dream of buying this but would it make a difference??? I've got so many different flavour ideas I want to try!!!
  • We made Werthers vodka last year on the recommendation of a friend. He said to use 2 packets of werthers - I think we only used 1 1/2 though. To get round having to smash up the sweets, decant the vodka into a 2 lt washed out lemonade or water bottle - the opening should be large enough then!

After the success of the Werthers, I tried Cough Candy - which turned out even better!!

Well I made the toffee vodka last week. Tasty lovely - if a little too 'vodka'ery for me ( yes I do know how daft that sounds!). Anyway, I reckon the condensed milk would work a treat - so will do that next time. Anyway - those that drank it said it was ace, very powerful - but ace none the less. Liking the idea for Strawberry gin....
