I've just read the whole thread. Do you drink the flavoured vodka straight? No mixing with lemonade etc. Don't think I've every drunk neat alcohol before except for Tequila many moons ago at a party with dire consquences. :D

think it depends on personal taste, i like adding lemonade or cream soda.... tastes like alcopops then:) infact i've tried all diff fizzy pops with them, i picked up some of the m&s cocktails last year which were flavoured vodka and had fun experimenting.

i didnt used to like vodka before alchopops!!

Do you think a pernod drinker would like vodka made with cough candy? Not much of a drinker myself so have no idea. Although I think I might like to try it with mint imperials.

I wouldn't mix the toblerone vodka with anything.. LOL. I'd drink it straight.. bit how you'd drink baileys or cadbury's chocolate liquor. The other flavours could be mixed though, sloe gin is quite nice with lemonade, for example, and limoncello could be mixed with coke to give a lemonyflavoured alcoholic coke drink.

    AussieLass.. thankyou :)

If you're flavouring it I suppose you can get away with using the cheaper "Tesco Value" vodka or am I way off the mark on that one?

Yes we drank it straight, once we had enough toffees in it tasted really nice. Not like straight vodka
I would never drink spirits straight usually :D

Strange question perhaps, but if you dissolved anniseed balls in vodka do you reckon it'd taste like Pernod? My Dad LOVES Pernod but I'd love to give him a "home made" bottle instead.

I have been looking into smaller bottles to decant the different flavours I will be making for various family members and found that you can order 25cl bottles of wine from tesco the cheapest being £1.43 and most pricey £2.99. Obviously decant wine into belly before using though.

I reckon it probably would, but also reckon you'd have to crush the aniseed balls quite a bit before you put them ;) Try it out with a little bit of vodka first
