    Morning all :)
Hope your meeting goes ok DNMS
Up early, already cleared the dishwasher and draining board and have a quiche in the oven :A To be fair though, I did make the pastry and blind bake the shell last night :)

Lots of appointments today, so it will be good to have something to come back to for dinner:
Blood test and then hairdresser this morning, just a cut, no major expense but my hair is driving me mad at the moment so can't wait!
OH to eye clinic again this afternoon :(The eye clinic consultant was happy with progress and we don't have to go back for 4 weeks :T I always have to go as well, which is a pain, as he cannot drive for a few hours after all the stuff they put in his eyes.

I have a feeling these will take up most of the day (we are usually at the eye clinic for hours, and the journey takes an hour each way) so not many other ambitions for today. We were home before 6 today, as no treatment was needed :T However, we do need to:

Dry the camping gazebo on the line as it appears not to be raining atm :T Done, must put it back in its bag.
Dog walks in between appointments OH did the morning one, I did the early evening one. He outran 3 labradors, interfered in a game of football (the kids didn't mind, and made a fuss of him) and went out of his way to say hello to a guy reading on a bench at the park :rotfl:
Check for surveys Not done, will look in a minute
See if anything wants picking or watering this evening Still to do, though I did find 4 nice little beetroot earlier, which I cooked to go with our salad :)
Paid in a cheque while out this morning
Took a few small bits into my sales unit, as the hairdresser is handily next door :)
Walked into town and back (free exercise) :)

Anything else will be a bonus!
  • Morning all :hello: :coffee:
DNMS - hope that your meeting goes well today, and Dawn - I hope that you're not waiting long at the eye clinic.
Ziggy, hope that you're still relaxing as much as you can.
Busy and spendy day for me yesterday - took the kids to a theme park. I made it as mse as possible with 2 for 1 vouchers and free lunch vouchers but I still had to spend on petrol and some drinks/ice cream. The kids had a great time though, and I got a bit of a catch up with a friend that I don't see nearly enough of since we stopped working together. So we had lots of coffee and chat while the kids went on all the rides.
Hopefully today will be a quiet one, and I have a small list of stuff I need to do. At the moment I feel ok, but I know that I'm tired already and so could be asleep by 10am or something :o I woke up at quarter to five this morning. Here's today's little list - I always get more done when I have a list:
;) minimal housework (dishes, washing, hoover)
    ;) catch up on here
    ;) exam marking
;) get up to date with my current CAL and swap it with another one that I need to finish off
;) watch a film that I got for free :D
;) nap if I need to
;) make a vet appointment - 2 cats need injections
;) if I feel like going out then pop to Mr A as I have the last of the school uniform to collect from there (ordered online)
That will be more than enough. Have a good day everyone :p

    good morning

just popping in to say thank you for everyone's good wishes for DD, it was not the operation we expected, things were alot worse than her specialist imagined so bone had to be removed aswell. dressings have to stay on longer and even though allowed home DD is not having a good time.
unfortunately there is no guarantee that the operation will work, specialist has said that he might have to operate several times but DD has said she isn't going through the surgery again.
6 weeks recovery......after day 1 she has been so miserable.

welcome to all the newbies.....this is a fab thread, stick with us
CCL.....keep looking at the completion certificate, it definitely doesn't seem real.
DNMS......hope things are going better for you.
right better shoot off. still keeping the money saving faith.
have a good day everyone x

    Hi gang,

It looks like I'm home alone this weekend - was meant to go to a wedding evening do but we can't get a dog sitter so think oh will go alone. It's not a big deal as it's pretty casual and we didn't need to rsvp etc so it's not like I've ever told them I'm going anyway...

Will give me time to write a couple of letters I need to write for GP - complaint about treatment going wrong and request to transfer treatment to another place. :( wish me luck!

Hope today goes well DNMS - sending positive vibes for work!

Ziggy - take care of yourself lovely lady

Catch up later with my list!

So sorry to hear that HK. Big love to you and your daughter. She might start to feel completely different about future surgery after she recovers/towards the end of the 6 weeks xxx
  • Hi gang.. Winging it and hoping as I add to the list that other things will come to mind..
Complete the next week's meal plan from stores (mainly)
    Any washing hung out
Lunch-scrambled eggs from our girls.. Or the two who can be arsed to still lay...
Don't let husband go to supermarket on his own-I've checked on my supermarket and the cat food our old chap's enjoying is £1 cheaper and they also have large tins of chilli beans 20p cheaper than next door...he'll never stick to that..
At my voluntary job this afternoon so taking lots of snacks so I don't stuff myself on free biscuits although that IS quite money-saving..:j

  • HK that sounds terrible :( for dd. Hope she musters up some strength from somewhere to cope with the next 6 weeks. At day 1 it's pretty fair enough to be feeling very despondent but she comes from good stock so sure she'll get there x
