When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important

    Morning all :coffee: :hello:
Up and about early this morning as I had a nap yesterday so have struggled to sleep during the night. Silly me. Anyway, I thought I'd start us off for the week as I'm up and about.
Not a massive amount planned for today but not a nsd. My cleaning lady starts today so I will need to pay for that, and I also need to keep me and the kids occupied out of the house for 3 hours later this afternoon while she's here. Last thing she needs is people in the house while she's working.
Also looking after bestie's ds today. Otherwise he was going to have to go into work with his dad. Far better that he's here and he and ds can entertain each other. I suspect we'll go out for food later on, plus ds has his swimming lesson later and I need to go to Mr A and collect the last of my school uniform order (apart from dd's official school stuff). So plenty to keep us occupied.
    Have a good day all!

Just catching up with the end of last week's thread.
Welcome to Pippi, and lots of love and a dodgy :grouphug: for you DNMS. You know you'll get through it, but it certainly doesn't make it any easier.
  • Morning cat :) Any chance you could put the smilie in the title? Makes it easier for me to find the thread when I'm blurry eyed in the mornings!

Whoop hope your cleaner is super efficient and you're happy with her work!

Man I've got a hang over :o and it's a working day :o:o hope a few more coffees, some water & paracetamol will nip it in the bud.... we had a great time out with friends yesterday afternoon. Madam played with their girl, we had some food and drinks and it was fun. What I really need at the moment

    Plans for today:

    * make everyone's lunches
    * get petrol and put air in tyres
    * I'm debating whether to go to office in my home town. It depends on whether I have an appt today. As yet they haven't come back to me so seems worth the chance of saving 40 miles and 1.5hrs travel time ;)
    * dinner will be yesterday's meal not cooked in the end
    * hang out washing weather forecast says we're having a rare non raining day
    * return a dress - must do this today as time is running out
    * GOT, book, bath and early night tonight I think

Ok better start getting on x

    Hi gang,

Had a pretty productive morning considering I've only been up for 40 mins...

    - Washing on airer not TD :naughty:
    - Sorted YNAB - leccy bill day...
    - Checked both banks :A
    - Mooncup Monday - so much cheaper/easier/healthier/better :D
    - Packed lunch is ready
    - Tonight's tea sorted - OH cooking :A
    - Replied to a message about cover next week - not ready to do it so turned it down even though the £60 would've been nice...

    Righto - back later!

    Happy Monday everyone!

    Good Afternoon All

CCL - Thanks for starting us off today

Hi to all of the regulars and a BIG welcome to all the newbies, this is a really FAB thread with so many lovely, caring, considerate and supportive people.

Was up early as decided to try the Dr's for an earlier appointment and managed to get one for 9.20 with the Dr that listens, he explained all my test results and told me to take it easy, main diagnosis seems to be pericarditis, so at least I have a name for how I'm feeling. Today :

Check Bank & make PAD - Done
    RM Surveys - Done
Post Ebay sale & old ink cartridges - Done[/COLOR
    Ironing - 1/2 done
    Mum's washing - 1/2 done & line dried
Purge on emails - Done a few
Enter a few comps - Done a few
All meals from cupboards/fridge/freezer - Done
Check: Luckyphone, Ashleigh, Numberplatelotto, FPL - Done

    Have a great day all!

    C x
