    Morning all :)
    Today's list:
HG blueberries for breakfast, there have been loads this year :)
    Dog walk
Make a batch of roasted tomato sauce - I freeze mine DNMS, much easier than the bottling method which I have always been a bit wary of :o
Sort out box of kitchen stuff that lives in the camper van -I noticed while we were away that there were 5 bowls in there, none of which we used (there are only 2 of us!). Wonder what else is lurking. Maybe a smaller box is in order!
Hope the weather picks up as I have loads of washing to get dry :(
    Pay milk bill
RM survey tasks which start again today
    Some cleaning / tidying
    Pick garden veg and fruit
Water whatever needs it (rain is never enough for things in big pots)
Going for dinner with DS and his GF tonight, so no cooking apart from the tomato sauce :)
Hope everyone has a good day :)

    Morning all,

Hope everyone is well. Feeling tired today... weather is also looking grey and rain is predicted for later on.

I was hoping for a non spend day today but no chance. After dropping DS off this morning I had to pop into Tesco's and ended up buying some stationary for the kids when they return to college. Lots on half price so worth stocking up and got other bits like cereal, milk, chicken etc so spent £14.

Home now so rest of the day:

    * Waiting in for new tablet to be delivered from Vodafone. They offered me a deal on a new one as old one was dying.
    * Fit in home workout during lunch
    * Put up DS's suit that is too small for him on Ebay.. .keep meaning to do this and forgetting
    * Activate Sky VIP rewards
    * Get my 5 mins of meditation in

    Have a good day everyone!

I forgot to add yesterday that we sourced quite a lot of Firewood yesterday-got it home and husband spent an hour chopping it, probably about a weeks worth.. Every basket and tubs now filled but hopefully won't be used this week.. Even better if it's not before Sept!
Just taken a phone call and have agreed to an extra volunteer session-normally I do a Thursday afternoon but I'm doing tomorrow morning now as well... Hoping to be getting some job interviews soon and will be using them as references so I feel I need to be as accommodating as possible right now. Also means I'm not tempted to go on a spending trip if I'm busy all morning.

Advice please :) I've made some blackberry liqueur by steeping blackberries in red wine (to have sugar added) can I use the blackberries that are left after I strained it? Maybe add to some more and make jam? Your thoughts would be appreciated :D

I haven't used them myself perps but when I was looking up making blackberry whiskey it did say use the fruit afterwards, so I'd say yes x

"Having slept in the whisky for six months, the blackberries will be delicious folded through whipped cream and oatmeal to make cranachan. You can also spoon them over ice cream or make into compote."

    https://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/blog/2016/08/bramble-whisky/

this one says "Leave as long as you can (a year is good), keeping the blackberries in the jar – they will make a fantastic dessert served with ice-cream when the time comes."
