All food from home today at a cost of 52p for lunch.
Today is the last day before we move floors and I'm keeping watch on the free table as everyone has a clear out  So far I've got a couple of books, some plum jam, an almond/praline spread and a jar of bloody mary ketchup! (All new)
It's taking me an hour and 45 minutes to get home from work at the moment so I'm not getting much done in the evenings!Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

Evening all
Not much accomplished today
Hospital appointment this morning, been put on the waiting list to have my gall bladder removedAbout 3 months wait apparently, and a low fat diet in the meantime. I eat fairly low fat anyway, and am well atm, so fingers crossed!
OH went for a routine screening programme scan this afternoon, and no problems there
His upcoming fishing trip is off as the friend who hosts wife is not at all wellWill have to see what is happening about the ferry booking, but I suspect they will have to pay it anyway.
DD and little GD visited this afternoon, I haven't seen GD for just over a week (mum is a teacher and off work atm, so our usual all day Wednesday babysits aren't happening) and see a difference in her over such a short time - scary how quickly they grow up! I offered to look after her one day next week if Mum and Dad want to go out somewhere
So, what HAVE I done today?
Walked dog in the lovely sunshine this morning - sadly the weather has deteriorated since then though!
Low spend day, just a few bits in Lidls as we were passing
HM meals, more of the quiche I made yesterday for dinner with a jacket potato and salad
Used our home grown tomatoes, cucumber and spring onions in the salad
Picked some tomatoes
Also picked a bowl of raspberries, but GD ate those :rotfl:
Not an impressive listNeed to feed / water veg in pots now, so at least one thing will have been achieved!

Genius FVD. :T I got offered some tin foil but it was gnocchi in a tomato sauce so I thought it might get a bit messy on the half hour walk home
Dawn - that is definitely an impressive list considering it was between hospital appts. Good luck for the op. 3 months will be here before you know it. :grouphug:
I took my dress back today but they didn't have a smaller size...Took a refund instead.
Just watching net flix just now and then probably get an early night.
Take care everyone

Evening all,
We got let off early today as everything was in crates and I managed to get a direct train that got me home at the usual speed so I've actually got a proper evening tonight!
I looked in at the YS stuff but didn't buy anything as we have plenty of stuff in the freezer. Tonight I reheated some chilli from frozen with a sachet of rice for DS and I had a jacket potato.
I've unpacked another trolley load of freebies but this will probably be my last. I've also packed up all my stuff for WBB and Ziffit ready to drop tomorrow.
I got some free plastic cutlery (t@lking t@bles) which has gone out into my camper-to-be box along with some free melamine plates.
I now plan to lie in bed drinking tea and watching EastEnders!Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

Hi DawnW, my daughter had her gallbladder out a few months ago and is much better for it. Recovery meant she had to be careful for a few days after-she had a 6 month old baby at the time... Good luck with your wait x

Thanks Kittychick, yes, I will be glad to be rid of it, it got infected a couple of months ago and made me really ill with jaundice etc, so it needs to go!0

Morning
Awwww the relief of waking up and not having unbearable pain was such a relief. Dull in the back ground pain I can take. Yesterday the pain was at epic levels! Need to be careful with what I eat today...
Today we have a friend's wedding. Still haven't sown up my dress! So need to do that very soon.
Dropping madam off to a friend's for a sleepover
Will have a big breakfast so not hungry before food is available
will drive and possibly get a taxi back, but given I haven't been feeling great I might not drink so I can leave if the pain starts to build as the day wears on....
Not much else today I suspect
Have a great day xDF as at 30/12/16

Hi gang
Have a good day at the wedding DNMS.
I'm not planning to do much today. Quite sleepy after the dog woke me up for his breakfast - he's now gone back to his bed snoring but I don't think I'll get back to sleep - typical!
May as well get on with cleaning the house. Want to have a bit of a clear out.
Will check the freezer for tonight's tea and get something out for tomorrow.
I don't know why but for some reason I started looking at the asos sale  Stop me now!!
The rain is meant to stop later so I'll take the dog out about 3pmish...
Not much to report tbh but I'll catch up later.0 -
Morning Campers,
Stressful week dealing with family crisis (difficulties still ongoing). Mr f has had to work today so I am going to spend today keeping myself busy on money saving tasks:
*Update grocery budget
*Re-imburse myself money I am owed from the savings piggies.
*Put a big stew in the slow cooker (using the bargainacious beef cheeks I bought recently)...enough to do 2 days.
*Assess fresh produce picked yesterday & decide how best to use it. Will prob freeze the blackberries, make soup or pasta sauce from the tomatoes & freeze some of the beans.
*Also pull rhubarb & prep for compote & freezing.
*Menu plan for next weekend when we have guests (crisis permitting) & decide on what birthday cake to make.
*Get a load of laundry done & line dry for free. Put another load on timer for overnight wash on cheap tariff.
*Pack hand-knitted Christmas gift away in presents box. Finish mr f's phone sock & sew it up while catching up on a tv prog.
*Find pickled courgettes recipe.....I think I remember which books (I do a mash-up of 2 diff recipes).
*2 baths from 1 lot of hot water.
*Finish library book if poss to add to bag of returns.
*Pack picnic for cheap fairly local day out tomorrow & get flask out ready.
*Bake a loaf using new tin thingy to test it out. Bread machine has developed exactly the same problem as the 1st one & so I won't replace it when it finally carks it.
OK, must get a move on. Being busy will help with the de-stressing process.
Cheers all,

Have a nice day at the wedding DNMS, hope you can get a dental appointment soon!
Foxgloves, hope the family issue is resolved soon
List for me today:
Dog walks
Pop to Waitrose (nearest proper shop) for burger rolls, a white or red cabbage for coleslaw and apples for sauce (or a jar of apple sauce, whichever is cheapest) for tomorrow, as OH has promised DD2 that he will do one of his famous pork roasts (very slow roasted, served in a bun with apple sauce, crackling and stuffing, with coleslaw on the side). 'Proper' HM coleslaw is non-negotiable but bought apple sauce is acceptable, apparently :rotfl: We have a large reduced pork joint in the freezer, so a pretty cheap meal, and plenty of leftovers for another day
I found 4 big cucumbers hiding in the garden yesterday, so I will make bread and butter pickles (mild pickled cucumber and onion slices, recipe came from a poster on one of the other boards)
Pick and freeze more rhubarb. I think you are supposed to stop pulling it in July, but nobody has told my rhubarb that, as it is going absolutely mad!
Make a pan of Bolognese sauce
Load of washing, hope the weather perks up!
Water anything in the garden that needs it
There will be more, but can't think of it at the moment!0
