Use "Resolver". Just Google it and use their free facility to sort things. I had to use Resolver to sort a year old problem with Eversmart and they got a solution within days for me.
    Best of luck,
    Bill
  • I switched from Eversmart to Octopus Energy which was completed on 06/06/2019. I had provided Octopus with my opening meter reading. They told me it will be passed to Evermart Energy so that they can produce my final bill.

It has been over 7 weeks and I haven't heard anything from Evermart. How long does it take? Shall I chase them? (Last time I tried for two days and they never answered calls or reply to chat messages)

I tried logging to my Eversmart account to check if there was any bill. but the portal doesn't log me in. There is a message saying "Please wait"

    What shall I do?

    See my post #725

Make sure they are still not collecting the direct debit!

Calculate your final bill using your own meter readings, if you are in debt, keep the money aside and keep quiet. If it takes them more than 12 months to sort it out they should not bill you under OFGEN guidelines.

If you are in credit - and you previously requested a final bill, make a formal complaint possibly using resolver as billp suggests and if getting no-where raise with OFGEN.

the advice is to download and save your bills when they are issued rather than leaving it until you need a copy and then finding that the account is closed or the network is down. It makes it really difficult to get the info that you need when you have a problem.

Keeping copies of the bills means that you should know where you account stands and you should never be more than a month outstanding especially if you've been giving readings and checking the bills properly

As others have said, check your previous bills and readings, work out how much you owe, or they owe you. IMO you should chase them and register it as a complaint so you start the clock ticking. Make sure that they aren't still taking DD's, especially if you are definitely in credit.

Send them a recorded delivery letter marked complaint or even try their call back (I've always been called back within a hour or so when I've used it)
Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers
  • I'm now in the process of taking legal action against Eversmart. It has been over three months since I switched away from them. They owe me over £130 and have promised to pay on several occasions, but up to today, nothing has been forthcoming.
There has been persistent problems with getting a bill off them, their website not allowing me to log on. They continued to take DDs even after the switch has occurred.
    You have been warned!!!

I need to move from Eversmart as my fixed tariff ends on 20th August. I've just had an online quote for Avro 'Simple and Supersave' (a fixed tariff) via the Which? comparison site, that is less that my current tariff.

I'm confused - I thought the Eversmart was so cheap at the time that I would never get a deal anywhere near as good.

I see also quotes for OFTM, Breeze, Green and Orbit Energy that are better than my current deal (although some are not fixed deals).

I see that I need to contact the new supplier direct and that I may need to get the offered deal by going through a comparison site but still, how come I can see such good deals (albeit from suppliers that may have bad reputations)?

    That's very interesting indeed.

If I remember correctly (based on your earlier messages) you had joined Eversmart around a week or two after I did and our tariffs were almost the same. So it is strange that you have managed to find better tariffs, when the Cheap Energy Club website keeps telling me that I am already on the cheapest tariff!

I will compare the tariffs again some time this weekend and check if these suppliers do not come up on the Cheap Energy Club site.

Also, before you rush into anything, I have seen messages on this thread that suggest that Eversmart have advised customers that their prices will not been immediately increased even after their fixed term has ended - supposedly because Eversmart do not have the bandwidth to complete the admin work required. In my own case, my fixed term ended last month but I have not received anything to inform me of increased rates.

Are you both on Welcome Home? I did a price comparison a week or so ago and there was nothing close....cheapest was still c£150-200pa more expensive than Welcome Home.

Yes, I am on "Welcome Home" and it is still the cheapest.

The next best options are OutfoxTheMarket, Green-Oak and OrbitEnergy - all three of which are variable tariffs and from suppliers that have recently come up. To add to this, OutfoxTheMarket have a bad reputation.

Do you know which pricing model Which uses. There used to be an official one that would assume say 1 month of fixed then 11 months of variable with the premise that you would not have switched. Then show the savings against that.
