Just got a Tariff letter from EverSmart this morning.
They are adding a daily standing charge to my "Goodbye Standing Charge" Pre-payment tariff.
So that's an extra £215 per year to my bill (nearly an extra 50%)
Looks like It's "Goodbye Eversmart's Charge" I'm moving suppliers ASAP...
But it looks like their is no good "No standing charge" suppliers any more
Hopefully I can get off the Pre-payment Smart meter on to a monthly tariff.Laters

A few weeks ago when I was looking to change energy supplier I considered Eversmart, but I was a extremely wary of a company that appeared to be very vague/confused about which type of tariff ‘Welcome Home’ actually was ;...was it fixed or was it variable.
When I asked the chap at Eversmart for clarification he muttered some incomprehensible nonsense,... and to be honest I was none the wiser. I didn’t changeover to Eversmart.
With that in mind I’ve been following this new ‘Economy Energy’ thread with interest.

I signed up Sept 2017 on a fixed 12m no standing charge tariff, but fortunately noticed they were offering a no standing charge tariff to new customers in April 2018 so I switched to that tariff and should be standing charge free until April 2019.
Too late for S0litaire, but it is worth monitoring eversmarts offers.
However have a look at Scottish Power Power Up, not listed on comparison sites.
I have my daughter on it for electricity. They make it sound like a prepay tariff and quote in days. But what it means is No standing charge, and variable rate for KWH. Most expensive if you pay as you use, and cheapest if you buy larger quantities in advance. The last lot she bought was at 16.7p per KWH.0 -
signed up 2 weeks ago for electric to "welcome home fixed" £591 yr ......i see they now offer "winter is coming variable" which is £148 more.......so got in just in time
Not surprised they pulled the previous tariff and replace with more expensive one.....they gained an awful lot of new customers so lets hope they can manage them all0 -

Jumped over to Bulb for a while.
They accepted me on a monthly tariff so I'm off Pre-pay once I swap over. It works out £5 more a month over Pre-Paid but it's worth it to get out of the pre-paid market.
So I can now start looking around for better deals, Like the Scottish power one, once I move house in a couple of months.Laters

Be aware that most suppliers offering credit tariffs will credit check you.
If you have a poor credit history, you may get yourself a credit meter from a less stringent supplier, but that may still prevent you from switching to another supplier (they won't accept you) or the supplier may request a hefty security deposit to accept you.
On the positive side, if you have a PPM, then I don't think the rise Bulb Energy has indicated is anticipated in November this year will affect you, as they are probably price capped by Ofgem.0 -

Ofgem's price cap that applies to PPM tariffs put the kibosh on zero standing charge tariffs for those customers some time ago.
Even MSEer's favourite no standing charge supplier, Ebico, do not offer such a tariff for PPM customers now, sorry.
Zero standing charge tariffs are still available via a number of suppliers to credit metered customers. However, they tend to only be worthwhile for extremely low usage (such as an unoccupied property)
People should consult an independent comparison site to find the best deal for themselves, and ignore the spam that now sadly proliferates on this site.0 -

I went through the MSE Comparison site on here.
Within 6 hours I got my "Welcome" email from Bulb.
So it looks good so far...
*Note*
I've got a Smart Meter installed (Liberty Secure) which will "Go Dumb" in my current property. Unsure of the meter type in my new place (as it's still being built...) I'm assuming it will be an "old style" debt meter.
Has Bulb announced when they are rolling out V2 "Smart Meters" yet? they did say sometime in late 2018. I'll probably stay with them for the V2 smart meter then switch.Laters

I'm not sure if Eversmart is sinking gently under the wave of IRESA /Octopus transfers.
We are due to switch over on Monday but so far apart from a reminder that they'll activate my DD on Monday I haven't been able to access an on-line account so not sure how they'll get my meter reading.
I've tried an e-mail, unanswered after four days, phone calls means sitting in a queue of up to 17 (I've got better things to do than wait on a phone) and SMS hasn't elicited a response either.
Lets see what happens on Monday morningNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
Mine's scheduled for the 12th, so I await your outcome with bated breath!
UPDATE:
They must be mind readers, as I've just got an email from them "Reminder of Supply Switch Date" as being the 12th.0
