  • Just hit the switch button on their website.
If their bills are as cheap as it looks I will save about £180 over the course of a year (not switched for a while so not as cheap as it should be...)
Will keep you posted as to what goes on, but let's hope it is smoother than some other's experiences...

I switched couple of days ago from octopus (Iresa).....they have no exit fee so it's a no brainer as far I can see
If they go the same way as Iresa who I had almost 2 years of cheap electric with no problems whatsoever, who cares it's just the mild inconvenience of changing again
I'm surprised they haven't pulled the tarrif yet as they must have been very busy in the last few days

This has got to be the worst change over i have ever done.
I joined up about 4 days ago & they messed up.
    1. They spelt my name with a 5 in it. OK! not a big deal.
    2. They set my monthly direct debit up for £665.00 per month &
    should be around £55.00.
I have been trying to get in touch for 3 days via facebook, email & don't bother with the phone as i can guarantee you will be 20 somthing in the queue. This shows what this company is like, not one single reply. Yet they can sort a direct debit out in hours.
This i can see being another company like Iresa that just went under.
To be honest, they deserve it for treating a new customer like this. :(
What did the welcome pack show as annual consumption and cost ?

Yes the Welcome Pack details that information and more i.e tariff costs, dates, etc.

Just had an email saying my first DD payment will be taken on 10th Sept, right at the end of the cooling off period.

I'm not worried though. It'll all come out in the wash. The DD is for roughly the same as I was paying IRESA.

?? I know that, I was asking collectors what the welcome pack stated as their annual consumption etc as when signing up the website asks for consumption and a drop down for annual / monthly which is defaulted to monthly - can you see where I am going here ;)

Yes, I made that mistake when getting a quote from them. I inadvertently said my entered usage was per month and got a ridiculously high monthly payment projection. Quickly corrected.

You must have joined the same date as me and got the same info back. They charge in front like Iresa did

I just joined. The pack shows the wrong address and so the wrong meters. The quote was way out but I thought I could cope with that. I think I will cancel and try wth someone else.

I tried to get a quote on their system but for some reason it wouldn’t let me enter the same address for my gas & electricity meter so the quote wasn’t valid.

I rang Eversmart (the operator had the same problem with my address) and he took my details,... gave me a quote and said he’d email me the quote so I could sign-up that way.

That was last Saturday morning,...I’m still awaiting my sign-up email. :(

    Not an auspicious ‘first contact’.
