My switch is supposed to be today. I've heard nothing yet but received an email from Eversmart last Thursday saying all was well. Not looking good, although the day is young I suppose.
If it has been blocked somehow, do I get an automatic notice?
My IRESA account was in credit and I didn't stop the DD, so there's no reason why it should be held up.
Edit: Just checked and the first Direct Debit payment to Eversmart was taken today. Still no word from them or Octopus.0 -
Just realised my switch is tomorrow, not heard a sausage apart from we have set up your direct debit.
I'm showing in credit with Octopus, but thats from the Iresa switch.
I could really do without another switch headache!

My switch to Eversmart from Octopus/Iresa was supposed to complete today but I've heard nothing from either.
Last email from Eversmart was 5 days ago to let me know "everything is running along smoothly".
I couldn't submit my meter reading online today as my email wasn't recognised. I sent my account number and meter reading to their text message number given in their welcome pack so they can deal with it in their own time.
If it takes a few days before I hear anything that's fine by me. I'm prepared to give these smaller companies a bit of slack in exchange for their value prices.0 -
No sign of Eversmart Energy on my usual comparison site now for the last week.. Possibly they have enough customers at present or maybe
possibly swamped by so many ex Iresa customers moving from Octopus to them as the cheapest supplier0 -
Just received an e-mail from Octopus re my "blocked" switch stating that they have not received a switch request and would not have blocked it anyway. Back on to Eversmart tomorrow to see what is going on.
I had not received anything from Eversmart after the 4 day countdown and only found out I had not switched when I phoned to give the meter read.0 -

Still, as Straus says, maybe we need to cut the cut price companies a bit of slack. I'll not complain too quickly. I'll let things run for a few days and see what happens (having taken relevant meter readings).0 -
Started with Eversmart back in June- got their welcome pack with their cheap Northern Glory tariff (£1.40 a week standing charge) - however I can't access the first two bills on my account page, so i have no idea if I owe them money or they owe me- the most recent bill is pretty confusing- I appear to be in the black with them, but then again, I might not- the minus 17 quid seems to be rather arbitrary. As they are substantially cheaper than the big 6, I am going to stick with them until i get the rumblings of an imminent collapse - they are happy, it seems, for me to keep my old British Gas smart meter and to take monthly readings from that. But the recent Irsea collapse gives me cause for concern, especially after reading their reviews on Trustpilot- ALL the customer reviews are terrible, but those that refer to an engineer named Wajid are ALL rave reviews... I have my suspicions and will keep a wary eye out for the inevitable collapse0

switch took place on Friday (from OneSelect) - some usual emails prior, but nothing since, unable to access online portal. called them today with opening reads. longish wait, but got through to someone - took the readings, said would send link to register for online account - email received within 3 minutes as said.
portal looks basic, unable to enter meter reads just yet. looks like can only see gas reads, electric reads and invoices. doesn't seem to be any payments section to see what has been paid etc.
however at the price, no complaints. will give them the year and see where it leads next year0 -

No request for meter reads, no access to online account yet. Presumably you can just email the meter reads on the day with your account number?No free lunch, and no free laptop0
