I'd say that's a good price, especially where drinks are involved.
Rest, hot water bottle, meds and hopefully you'll manage the drive, even if you start earlier and have frequent breaks.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
I am so glad you are keeping busy. What they are doing is so frustrating ! please do continue to enjoy Christmas. I think it will fall in to place in January. So sorry for the delay. Stay happy you are nearly there.Aiming for a minimal spend 20222

So Christmas Eve is finally here! The 5 hour drive turned into a 7 hour drive due to road closures and accidents but thankfully I arrived safely “oop norf” 😆Topped the car up with petrol before setting off total spend £29.27 (including water & emergency chocolate 😉) after putting in £20.01 last week. Was getting very low by the time I arrived but should be just enough to get to nearby petrol station to fill up before I head home after Christmas.Puppy dog was v pleased to see me. DS & gf came up a day earlier, stayed with my DF then went to stay with my DSis & b-in-law (his Aunty & uncle & cousin). I arrived in time to take her for a walk and give her dinner. There wasn’t room for them to take her with them as Dsis already have 2 dogs.I have been to see my old school friend in the village and walked past my future house. The sellers are there so must have decided to spend Christmas there. Hopefully they will get out in January! I know that all the time DF is living round the corner it is the right decision
All Christmas gifts wrapped, I used paper bought in the sales last year. Me & DF are off to my Dsis & B-in-Laws for Christmas & Boxing Day. DS & gf & puppy dog are off to gf parents for Christmas. Last night they arrived back at DF’s and we had an Indian paid for by DS which was lovely.Just wish everyone travelling safe journeys and hope you all have a lovely Christmas.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Have felt shocking since arriving at my Dsis’s house on Christmas Eve. Me & DF both felt well and tested negative in the morning, before setting off to see his older sisters on the way here, so hopefully it’s not covid. My nose has been running like a tap since Christmas Day evening when we were trying to play board games and I have been taking a combination of meds since for the pounding headache & sinus pain. At least we had a lovely Christmas dinner and yesterday was a Boxing Day walk along the sea front (with lots of tissues) and cold meats & salad in the evening. In between I have dosed up and rested. Hope my DSis and her family don’t catch it as I already feel guilty turning up then going down with a lurgy, even if I didn’t know I had it when I arrived!Travel back to DF’s house today. So glad he is driving. We are not calling to see other family as planned. Hope I can rest & sleep ready for the drive home tomorrow. Then I am working from home for 2 days. No plans for NY eve apart from submitting my gas and electric meter readings 😆🥳0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

A 5 hour drive home turned into 9 hours yesterday thanks to no petrol left at the garage nearest to DF and then a lorry closing the M1. I left DF’s at 9.30am and just got to the second garage with the petrol light on. Arrived home around 6.30pm.Petrol & chocolate £42.85. Stopped at McD at services £5.79. Detour off M1. More Petrol £20.20 closer to home as I wasn’t sure I had enough for the rest of the journey. No milk at services. Horrible weather, rain and high winds with lots of surface water and it was dark by 4pm. I am just thankful I arrived home safely.
Had a hot chocolate (thankfully I had 0ptions in my store cupboard & made with boiling water) when I got home. Groceries then delivered £22.86. Chinese takeaway delivered £20.05 with leftovers enough for 2 more meals.Puppy dog still away so no dog walking today. Have had a lie in and am just about to get up & start work from home. At least it’s only today and tomorrow then 3 days off due to a bank holiday on Monday 😁0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

That's a long drive, but at least you're home and got a hot choc.
