I know people that have had the sinus cold and she had to get antibiotic from a walk in centre! I hope you are well soon. It sounds terrible.

Aiming for a minimal spend 2022
  • It’s been very mild so the heating  has been off. Our December bill was electric £95.12 and gas £133.77.= £228.89 Direct debit £124.27 & support scheme £67 = £191.27 balance covered by credit on account. Remaining credit £222.44

I am going shopping in the morning and will take my no-dogs friend as she doesn’t have a car. I have made a list which I will try to stick to!

I have spoken to my solicitor this afternoon and he is going to contact the sellers solicitor to push for exchange and completion by the end of the month. At least once we exchange I can hand my notice in at work.

  • Very mild again today and it looks like being a bright sunny day. Heating is off.

I’ve been for a walk with the dog. Just going to cook the last of the bacon for breakfast before getting ready and going shopping.

Walked to the post box last night and posted a birthday card with a second class stamp. It will be interesting to see how long it takes to arrive now Christmas is over. I posted it a week early so hopefully it will arrive in time!

  • Just been shopping and am starting work at home this afternoon. Aldee total £46.29. I was shocked but when I look at what I bought about £15 was stuff that will be used over the month. Current soa has budgeted Groceries £200 so that should cover the month.

Post seems to be getting quicker now so I'd expect maybe a day or two longer than normal.

Shopping isn't bad, especially with store cupboard items.

  • It’s raining here today and blustery wind. Have walked the dog who has had a great time rolling in the mud 😆 She’s had a hose down & shampoo in the garden and is now crashed out asleep on the kitchen floor.

I am just about to make a chicken casserole in the slow cooker. I have chicken thighs, mushrooms, onions, carrots and a bit of cream.

Apart from that and cleaning the bathroom I have no plans for today. Feeling much better so I will be back to the office next week so I will rest as much as possible over the weekend.

  • Chicken casserole cooked in my slow cooker was yum. 2 more portions. Food this week mon-thu
    breakfasts
    crumpets
    raisin wheats cereal
    toast

    lunches
    tuna & cucumber roll x 3
    jacket potato & chilli

    dinners
    chicken casserole x 2
    gammon & cauli cheese x 2

    Snacks
    grapes
    apples
    pears
    bananas
    tinned peaches

I was shocked by how much the 2 gammon steaks have gone up to £3.25. I’m sure they were £1.99. However they are quite large so I have cut them in half and they are still large enough for 4 meals. I had half with jacket potato, frozen sweetcorn and peas and tinned pineapple 😋 The rest are now in the freezer.

  • Very dark morning again. I am so looking forward to spring and daylight before work.

DS has already left for work. His gf is now getting ready to go to work. Then I will get up and take the dog out before starting work from home. Food today from stores
    breakfast - cereal
lunch - jacket potato and chilli
dinner - gammon and cauli cheese

Yesterday I did some more decluttering, tidying and shredding. Another bin liner of rubbish that I will not be taking with me. 😁

    Meals look fantastic!

You're doing well with the decluttering and should have everything scaled right back in time for moving.
