  • So, we are now in December. ❄️ 🎄
Most of the monthly direct debits came out yesterday. I put in the monthly gas & electric meter readings, just waiting for the bill to see how much credit we have left.
Spent most of the first day of December in hospital after shutting my hand in the car door. Thankfully not broken but very black and bruised. That’ll teach me to watch what I’m doing when I get my bags out of the car.
WFH later today. Have just fed the dog and am back in bed with a cuppa. Will walk her once it gets light.
This weekend I was invited to a Christmas market on the train but it’s so cold out it wouldn’t be pleasant so I have declined. I hate the winter as the cold causes me so much back pain.
Instead I will stay indoors in the warm and write my xmas cards.

Ouch, hope the pain eases and bruises quickly fade. Slow down and get rest.

Wrap up, plenty of warm drinks and don't work too hard.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.
  • Have walked the dog and she is now snoring in her chair. I’ve just had a hot chocolate and am debating what to have for breakfast. May be scrambled eggs on toast.

I have some sweet potatoes to use up so I think I will make soup in the slow cooker. There are a couple of carrots to use up so I will chuck them in too & some chilli flakes and a bit of stock.

I have some chicken breast in the freezer so have taken that out to defrost and will have it later for dinner with some veg fried rice using up the last courgette & leftover green pepper and some black bean sauce. I have a couple of frozen batch cooked meals for over the weekend so I don’t need to go shopping until next week.

Phoned to change my details as I am currently not a home owner and number of cars in the household has gone from 3 to 2.

Revised premium £230 ! Made a few startled gasps & they said they would have a look at it and came up with £205.95. 😁

  • Just back from walking the dog & it’s a very cold windy day 🥶 but at least it’s not raining.

Puppy dog had a good time chasing her ball and is now snoring in her chair

I didn’t get round to making the sweet potato soup yesterday so I will do that today. I did microwave one then fry it with a bit of leftover gammon and a fried egg on top for breakfast  😋

Your poor hand omg that's horrid. I hope it is starting to heal. It sounds agonising! You are brave to take puppy out after that! A warm breakfast is lovely. I am dreading popping out to the corner shop. It is chilly by me.

There's supposed to be a cold snap around the 10th, dig out those really warm clothes 🥶

  • It’s a very dark morning with a biting wind. I’ve been out with the dog for an hour with my thermals on. Just my face that’s cold! I’m glad I got 2 pairs of these thermals from mat alan. Long sleeved top & leggings in cream with glittery bits 😆

Just having a hot chocolate then it’s crumpets & butter for breakfast. Puppy dog is snoring again she had a lovely run around. Didn’t get much done yesterday, just resting apart from hoovering the hall & living room. Must write my Christmas cards today to be posted tomorrow
