The house I looked at today I could tell from the photo of the front that the roof of the bay window and the facia / soffit needed work. What I couldn’t see from the photos was that the air bricks at the front had been sealed up. The roof at the rear was sagging and the fire wall had bits missing. Most of the windows had blown and needed replacing. The coverings on the front of the kitchen cupboards looked like sticky back plastic and were ripped / peeling off. The fridge was mouldy. This was described as “beautifully presented”.

It’s too much work for me so I will not be offering.

I am using up a instant bbq we have had for about 5 years. I’m cooking lamb burgers 😋

The seller must be as thick as the EA to allow it to be advertised as 'beautifully presented'!  It should be advertised as 'full refurbishment needed',  'suit a builder'!  It's about time EA were monitored.
Sending (((hugs))) Skinty and hoping that something good turns up soon.  XX

  • Only one other suitable house came on the market this week on Wednesday. I have booked a viewing but they are only doing viewings next Saturday so it’s a long wait.

Tablets have given me stomach cramps etc so I had to dash back from dog walking this morning. I am supposed to be going for my flu jab and covid booster later. They also sent me a message last week about a tetanus jab so hopefully they can do that today also.

Aldee is nearby so I might pick up a few things if I feel well enough

I think using the 'social sites' to name and shame them would probably do more good, and be less traumatic!  LOL.

I had my flu jab and covid booster yesterday. My arms have been agony since and very painful through the night.

I picked up a bit of shopping after from aldee, total spend £19.31 including 4 pints of milk, box of cereal, fruit, stuff for lunches, for dinners I bought pulled pork, 2 chicken Kiev, chilli chicken pizza, frozen curry, which should do 6 meals. I have some chicken in the freezer from my last shop with which I can make another couple of meals. I also have tuna, pasta, sweetcorn and mayo which should do a couple of lunches. So I should have enough for the week.

I was going to do some gardening today but as my arms are still sore I will leave it until tomorrow. Plans are to tidy my bedroom and put on a wash to hang out on the line. When my arms are less painful I will start to put boxes into my room as it is depressing looking at my packing as I am not moving yet.

  • Hope the pain eases soon.

When you're feeling better continue the decluttering not packing, unless it's items you want to keep but are seasonal use. Get a blanket and cover over the already packed boxes.

    Take it easy and rest.
