Finally had contact with GP yesterday and have meds to pick up today. I am hoping the side effects are not too bad but I will see how I feel on Monday when I am due back at work. I have used holidays for time off this week. Meds are to be taken at night.Lots of rain in the night but a dry dog walk this morning. I have already arranged to go out today with my no-dogs friend. We are going to the next city and a trip to ike@ plus some lunch. I will need to put some petrol in the car. I still have Christmas money to spend from DF so if I see anything I like I will treat myself. Had a lovely relaxing day out yesterday. Put petrol in the car. My friend bought us lunch. In survey news the results are not good. Indications of significant structural movement potentially wall ties. Significant damp more than expected, walls and floors. Damp proof course covered up. Expensive Roof repair and expensive ongoing repairs and maintenance.Am considering my options but not sure it’s worth getting specialists in for further reports & quotes for repairs or even if seller would allow invasive testing 😢
Meeting an old friend for late lunch today and I need to drive. This evening I will be taking the anti-D’s and see how drowsy they make me and any other side effects over the weekend so no driving.DS & gf and dog have gone away. I am trying not to sit at home alone and sink into the abyss.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Oh Skinty, I'm so sorry.
Take this weekend to think, but mainly to see what else is about and whether it's worth selling to get that pressure out the way. Most of all have a large glass of something and a slice of cake.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
Thanks MF. Went to the home of the roast and had a carvery 😋 Good chat with friend too. £11.30. No room for pudding 😆
This morning I made a complaint to v media about my bill being wrong yet again. Had to speak to a manager when they only offered me £10 compensation after multiple failures by them. Finally got £50 & hopefully it’s now sorted. Will see what comes off my bank account on 11th.Have decided to withdraw from the purchase of the damp, structurally unsound, money pit house & will phone the solicitor on Monday.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

So sorry to hear your house news. I am rapidly coming to the same conclusion but holding on by a thread because I really love the house! It is heart breaking isn't it?

Ice cream isn't food and there's always room for that!
You've made the right decision. Structural is a big no no when on a limited budget and plans to retire. You'll find something better 💐Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Wishing you a good day Skinty, I hope the pills work fast and there are no side effects. At work do what i do, take it a step at a time and dont take it too seriously you come first not a case. Keep focussed on your friends and family you can do this.
Well done you are right not to buy a house needing lots of work, you may think the surveyor costs were a false economy but it was worth every penny even in these tight times as you wont have ridiculous rebuild costs.
Have a good day and i am hoping you will turn a corner v soon.

Thinking of you and sending gentle (((hugs)))
I'm sure you've made the right decision in walking away from what sounds like loads of hassle and stress and that the right house for you will be found. XXXI Believe.....
