    I do that too!!!!

It seems cooler by me today. We are hoping for rain tomorrow I think. Well done on doing all those jobs. I do not know how people are working in this weather.

I am so sorry that work is a nightmare, i hope you rested ok. I also think this oppressive heat is also draining everyone. It has just rained by me twice and the air feels much lighter so I hope today is better. The surveyor and everything is always a nightmare when i have moved house, it is just a job to them but so important and stressful for us. Be kind to yourself my lovely.

  • It is now much cooler and we had some rain yesterday but it has barely wet the ground.

I feel exhausted after returning to work and I only had just over a week off. I just don't have much energy or inclination to do anything. I slept for an hour and a half after getting in from work yesterday. I felt so tired that I didn’t go shopping after work.

I did go for a walk in the evening sun with my no-dog friend & she bought us both a slimline tonic in the pub. My friend with 2dogs has now moved miles away out of the area so that’s 2 friends, including my 1dog friend, that I will not see so much.

I've been binge watching New Amsterdam from the first episode   and I have been enjoying that. But I am eating too much junk and feeling sad so I need to snap out of it for health and budget reasons

You'll feel less stressed when the sale / purchase goes through and life will begin to settle down. In the meantime, adapt a slower pace, stop pushing so hard and get as much rest as you need.

Are your friends will within easy commute distance for a trip to the pub, meal round theirs and a catch-up.

Hello Im not surprised you are tired. Work, buying a house and this boiling heat must be awful for your blood sugars! Please rest and be kind to yourself and take some time out for yourself in the evenings.  Just think this time next year you will be in the new house and soooo happy.

I'm also waiting for my survey. The surveyor was on holiday and they were booked up for ages. Mine will be next week. I feel nervous about it and drained. The recent weather and work stress made it all worse. Hopefully it will all turn out ok for both of us. Take care

  • Thanks @doingitanyway good luck with your survey. I have still not heard from the surveyor I spoke to last Friday. I phoned him again on Wednesday & left a message but no call back. I phoned the estate agent yesterday afternoon and they have not heard from him either. Not sure what to do next, maybe set someone else on.

Went for a walk with my no-dog friend after work yesterday and bought us both a drink £7.10. I had a fruit cider which was lovely. Think I overdid it on the walking as the walk back along the coastal path was a real struggle with pain in my left side. I picked up a chicken wrap in the shop £1.46 down from £3.25 and spent the rest of the evening with my feet up.

It’s pouring with rain. I walked the dog earlier thankfully before it started. I’m working from home today so no petrol needed. I will probably need to put £10 in next week.
