At least he's reappeared, hopefully you'll get the survey and report soon.

We got boxes from the supermarket for free, they're a decent size for filling, without being too big to carry / move about.

Glad surveyor has phoned that will be money saved on a more expensive one. You are packing already which is such hard work well done. Well done on doing the washing.

  • The surveyor should contact the estate agent tomorrow to arrange the survey with the sellers

I need to phone the solicitor about the form they sent me. It has the correct address for the property I am buying but for some strange reason they have changed my current address to that of the property which fell through. I’m sure it will be soon sorted.

I tried to get boxes from the main supermarkets in town & I have tried local stores but cannot get any. I am going to buy some from wilco but will have to order online as there is none due in store until 1 October

I am working from home tomorrow. I need to boil some eggs for work lunches this week. I have the sausages cooked earlier today too and fruit. Plus ham and bread rolls. Total spend in mr T today £6

Hurrah for the surveyor let's wish for the form to be corrected by the solicitors. I wonder why they ran out of boxes at the supermarkets? Well done in working round it. You can do this!!!!!

  • Crawling my way to the weekend. No contact from the surveyor since Sunday. 🙁 I am going to try and book an hour off on Friday afternoon so I can visit my 2dogs friend who has moved & get a lift with one of the girls in our group who is driving.

In the office again today. May need petrol tomorrow. If I can get time off on Friday I will probably give the girl driving some money for petrol as it is a long drive

  • It has been hot this afternoon but the light is fading and it is cooler now.

Received a call from estate agent this morning & survey is now booked in for 2 weeks from now. Phoned the solicitor and he has emailed me some of the searches and info from sellers. I need to have a good look at them & pass on any concerns to my surveyor.

Have been for a walk with my no-dogs friend and she bought us a Diet Coke in the pub. Am just cooking chicken Kiev and sweet potato fries from the freezer for dinner. In the office again tomorrow so I put £10 petrol in the car on my way home.

I cannot get time off on Friday but my boss has said I can start at 8 instead and finish at 2pm so I have arranged for one of the girls to give me a lift to 2-dogs friends new house. Nothing else planned for the weekend. It’s a bank holiday on Monday so only 4 days work next week 🤗

It's moving in the right direction and you can relax a bit while waiting for the report.

    Good compromise for Friday 😊

  • So glad it’s the weekend. Yesterday was a horrendous work day with yet more work forced on us without any training. At least we have a bank holiday on Monday.

Yesterday was an early dog walk, an early work start & finish. One of the girls picked me up and 4 of us went to 2-dogs friends new house. I took her a bottle of plonk £6.99 and a “new home” card £1.99. I found a wine carrier in my gift stash so the plonk looked ok in a glittery bag.

I offered the girl driving some petrol money but she wouldn’t take any. We had a drink in the garden and a tour of the lovely house, an old railway cottage, then went to the pub for dinner where I spent £17.99. Food was lovely and we had lots of chat and laughter. I also got some free boxes for packing from my 2-dogs friend.

Plans for the bank hol weekend

    more sorting and packing
    washing clothes/ towels/ bedding
    hoover house
    Mop kitchen and bathroom floors
    read all searches
    pay surveyor
    email surveyor
buy a “well done” exams card for nephew who got a lot of A* and A’s and buy some stamps. These will be paid from birthday/ xmas savings.
