  • Very frosty dog walk this morning 😆

I have been to town and paid in my cheque at the bank. Bought 2 pads of A4 paper and pack of 5 pens £3 and de-icer £1.50 for the next frosty morning when I have to drive. Thankfully not many while I’m working from home.

On the way home I called into asda and returned the sparkly cardi I bought before Christmas and didn’t wear. Refund £18 on credit card. Decided to get the few bits of shopping while I was there and save petrol rather than go to aldee. Fresh fruit & veg, couple jars sauce on offer, microwave rice, 15 free range eggs, bacon & belly pork and 2 packs sausages on offer plus bottle of peach squash £23.02

I have cooked one pack of large chilli sausages and had 2 on a sandwich. 😋 The other 4 will be frozen & make 2 meals another time. One of the jars of rogan josh curry sauce will go in the slow cooker tomorrow with the reduced lamb & bought last week and some of the giant butternut squash that I am still working my way through 😁

    Just about to start work.

My advice is do not turn to booze! It knocked me out but now I am wide awake with a headache.

Had a text from a friend tonight to a pamper afternoon at one of the girls houses with the lady who used to do my back & facial massage. I only stopped them due to covid. Think I will go. It used to be £20 for 30 mins, not sure if the price has gone up due to PPE but she is covid compliant. Could really do with a relaxing massage at the moment.

  • Is it morning already 😳 Have fed the dog and I am back in bed with a cup of tea.

I forgot to get the lamb out of the freezer last night so cannot make the lamb and butternut squash curry in the slow cooker today. I have taken it out to defrost for tomorrow instead. Tonight will be belly pork which is in the fridge. I have got a portion of butternut squash soup out of the freezer for lunch. That can be microwaved from frozen but it takes less electric to just warm it up once defrosted.

Just waiting for the asda refund from yesterday to go on my credit card then I will pay the remaining bill from savings pots.

Glad it’s Friday, even though it’s only been 4 working days it’s felt like a very long week.

    Hope your head cleared!
Pamper is long overdue and if it helps you should factor it into your budget.
Belly pork on a Friday works well and the curry is something to look forward to tomorrow.

Just about to get up and walk the dog. It’s still dark. It’s very frosty 🥶

I will have to start work a bit earlier today to finish 2 cases from last night otherwise I will not finish my caseload in time for the weekend.
Pilchards on toast for breakfast, butternut squash soup for lunch and belly pork for dinner all from stores. Trying to be more organised with food so no buying takeaways

Due to meet up with my house selling friend tomorrow. Looking forward to a chilled weekend. The massage is in a couple of weeks
