  • I fell asleep after posting this morning at 9.37 and woke at 11.55 😳😆 Feeling ok, just cooking dinner & DS & gf have taken the dog for a long walk. Peeled all veg while sitting watching tv & it is all cooking in the electric steamer. Made pigs in blankets & stuffing. Tested both just to check they taste ok 😋

Chicken in a bag & roast potatoes, parsnips & butternut squash are in the oven.

We received a bottle of extra dry Prosecco as an xmas pressie which none of us likes so I got a bottle of lemonade & ice cubes to mix with it, which hopefully will make it drinkable 😆

Not sure what gluten free yorkshire puds will taste like but at least they are ready made so no effort required 😁

Well it’s 2nd Jan already! I’m going to start decluttering and cleaning my living spaces in the house. My bedroom is a tip and I will start to clear away Christmas bits & cards etc from living room and wash skirting etc & hoover.

Thursday is a late shift so I will go into town that morning and pay my cheque into the bank and return a cardi to george for a refund on my credit card.

Bright sunny mild morning. Have been for a walk with the dog. The last two mornings have been eerily quiet with just a few dog walkers around. Could hear lovely birdsong. It’s now clouded over again & forecast is for rain later.

I am cooking the remaining sausages and will have a few on a bread roll for breakfast. The rest will be frozen & used for other meals with the leftover roast potatoes & veg from yesterday.

If you've got the banking app on your phone, they now allow you to pay cheques in that way, it's a £500 limit.

    Good luck with decluttering.

How were the GF Yorkshire puds?
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.
  • GF yorkie puds were lovely and taste/texture was no different to “normal” ones. Just more expensive!

Decluttering my bedroom today got off to a gentle start 😆
3 empty tablet blister packs -binned
7 empty pill boxes- recycled after sticky pharmacy labels removed
    4 mugs - into dishwasher
1 empty hairspray can & 1 empty hair mousse can - into recycling
    Still loads to do.

I took down all the xmas cards downstairs & packed away the Christmas cushions and few decs we had out.

  • I thought I was back to work today but have just found out it’s a bank holiday 🤗🥳. I thought it was just in Scotland but have double & triple checked & it seems I have the day off too! Feel like I am dreaming & can’t quite believe it. Will try and have a little snooze before I walk the dog around 8am
