  • Thanks everyone 😊

Butternut squash soup was lovely after a walk round the village. We’ve been watching tv this afternoon.

I will drive home in the morning. Expecting it to take about 5 hours. I am going to have a takeaway in the evening so I don’t have to cook. DS & gf and puppy dog will be home the next day

  • Have a break halfway home and a little stretch.
    Enjoy your evening.

  • Home again after a horrendous drive. Pouring rain, big lorries, idiots undertaking and cutting me up when I am overtaking 😨

Filled up with petrol before setting off and bought a pasty, and a cheap bottle of water total spend £36.73.

Called off at morresons on the way home for milk and picked up a few snacky bits for New Year’s Eve. Total spend £10.17.

Will do a year end check later this week.

Puppy dog is back home. DS & gf have gone to work so I will be walking her later. Then I will go on the great gluten-free shopping hunt. I think t3sco looks promising. Need meat, veg, stuffing, pigs in blankets, yorkshire puds & pudding. DS’s gf already has gluten free gravy.

Sorry about the traffic the bad drivers need catching and dealing with. Well done on good shop. Food shopping plan sounds good. Yum.

  • Driving standards are getting worse, doesn't help people see a sma car and think it's a slug.

T have a broad range of gluten free things and you should be able to get everything.

Maybe mr t normally have more gluten free stuff but I managed to get gluten-free Yorkshire puddings £1.60 for 8 & profiteroles £1.13 x 2 boxes. I bought gluten free pork chipolatas & streaky bacon to make pigs in blankets & gluten-free pork & honey sausages which I will use with some of her gluten-free bread & sage from the garden to make stuffing. Got a butter & herb chicken plus potatoes, carrots, parsnips, sprouts & broccoli. I will cook extras to freeze for meals.

I also got chicken fillets and wraps, peppers and courgettes, frozen dumplings & beef mince. Plus cubed lamb reduced from £3.50 to £1.92 and a huge butternut squash (weighs 1.91 kg!!) for £1.

    Meal plan
    roast chicken dinner
    butternut squash soup
    carrot & parsnip soup
    lamb & butternut squash curry
    beef mince & veg chilli
    chicken stew and dumplings
    chicken fajita wraps
    sweet chilli chicken wraps
    Teriyaki chicken & micro rice

Total spend was £38.57. Down to £37.02 with club card. There should be several meals for the freezer.

Took the dog for a run around on the field with her ball this morning and out on the common for a longer walk this afternoon. It’s nice to get some fresh air and exercise. 😊

  • You've a good selection and GF should have a contented belly after that feast.

Meals sound wonderful and you bagged some bargains.

The PD walks are great for blowing out winter cobwebs.
