    You needed the rest.
To do list looks good. Maybe the neighbours think if they leave the washing out the weather won't change!

  • The sun is trying to make an appearance but the wind is cold. Neighbours have taken their washing in & all their windows have been shut now!

Dishwasher is on and my bedding is washing to hang out. I won’t be leaving it out all day & all night though, I don’t get that? 🤷‍♀️

I wrapped up & walked the dog. While walking back I found a silver bangle & brought it home. Have googled the makers name stamped on it & it is a mans, retails at £298. 😳 I will take it to the nearest police station tomorrow, the property office is closed on bank holidays. I wonder if you still get to keep things if they go unclaimed? Would sell it & use the money for something. 😆

It looks like you hand it in and then if it's not claimed within whatever timeframe (all set their own), then you have a timeframe to claim it otherwise it's sold at auction. Make sure you check when handing it over.

Hope you get to burn your papers later!

Many police stations do not open to the public and of the ones that do, many no longer take found items & it is down to the finder to make enquiries local to where the item is found to find the person who has lost it! Luckily my local station is 5 mins drive away & still has a public counter. I went at 10am after walking the dog & it only took 10mins. They told me they no longer take in most items but as this had a makers name & is valuable they would take it in. I have to wait 28 days and if it is unclaimed I can go and collect it.

Had a text first thing this morning to say parasol base would arrive  at lunch time. It is so heavy I had to get DS to lift it from the front door to the back 😆 Just waiting for the parasol and some sun now! More snow this afternoon 😬

I managed to burn 2 lots of paperwork last night. Never seen so much smoke, but once the flames took hold it was quick to burn. I stunk of smoke after & put all clothes straight into the wash & had to shower & wash my hair. Still got about half a box left to do.

Not done much else today. Snowed again this afternoon so I brought in DS & gf washing as they were out walking the dog. Sun is out again now. Stew & dumplings for dinner later. Will go food shopping tomorrow.

A month isn't long to wait.
Usually it's a few showers before we no longer smell of bonfire 🤫
Dumplings are great with stew, hope you enjoyed it.
