I just caught up. Skinty i hope you are resting. It sounds like you have too much pressure (i blame work) and you need to chill a lot more to make allowances for the extra stress. Dog walking is inspiring and fine but i hope you are cutting back on the housework a bit. I have let mine slide a bit for the last two weeks. Please try to rest, it has been a stinky year but we are near the end of the bad bits now.

  • I spent a few hours round a friend’s garden yesterday and it was lovely to relax and chat. 😁 DS had a couple of his friends round for a bbq outside and I got a lovely home made burger for dinner 😋

After work today I popped into town & took my Christmas slippers back to matalan for a refund as the stitching had come undone. Got £4 refund off a pair of leather sandals ready for the nice weather! Going for a walk with DS’s gf & dog shortly. Managed to wash towels and they have line dried.

That sounds more like it Skinty, just the kind of thing you needed. Drop hints that it's nice weather and DS should do a family BBQ 😃

  • Thank goodness it’s Friday! Work has been a struggle this week. I asked for help and was told everyone was busy so have not cleared all my caseload so it will just have to wait until next week.

Had my hair cut yesterday it’s lovely and short now so just a quick blow dry now. As my roots are grey I have just had a few blonde highlights to break it up a bit. Not ready to go totally grey yet! Cost £45 for cut, foils & blow dry. Paid from household bills account.

Still not received garden parasol. Phoned the courier again they still have not received it from the range. Was then in a phone queue just under 1 hour to speak to the range & they are supposedly sorting it and getting back to me within 2 working days.

Had a snooze then DS lit the bbq & I got him to cook my pack of chicken sausages, I had some with watercress & salad 😋 Leftover sausages now in the freezer. DS & his gf had their own food.

Had a snooze then took the dog out & felt better for getting some fresh air.

Tomorrow afternoon my friend is having some of the girls round for a few drinks in the garden. May partake of a few beverages 🍷 🍹  🍸

You can only do so much and I hope things settle soon.

Is there anywhere else selling it as you've been waiting ages now.

Hair cut and BBQ are a perfect end to the working week and a tipple has to be on the cards!

  • Had a great evening with the girls, sat in friends garden with jumpers coats & blankets 😆 We had Chinese delivered & fire pit lit for some warmth. I may have drunk too much feeling a bit rough (hungover) today 🥴. I didn’t think I had drunk that much, I took a bottle of strawberry lambrini £2.19 and chinese was £5.30. However my friend was making cocktails and insisted I had one (or two).

Have taken the dog for a walk in the sun. The wind is bitter cold 🥶 which woke me up 😁 I have ordered a mcd breakfast with free delivery to aid recovery ☺️

  • Lost a long post last night and was too tired to try again.

Sunday mostly resting apart from cutting the grass.

Sent my meter readings to new provider ready for my switch. Have kept money in my account to cover the first payment as both providers will be paid in May. Can’t believe I will be paying nearly £100 a month for gas & electric 😵
