Had a lovely walk with the dog this morning. It’s sunny & warm here.

Have just been trying my new summer walking sandals on and I noticed the price tags show £34.99 but I paid £37.99 (plus postage) Quick phone call to store & have sent them a photo of the sandals with labels still attached & they have told me they will refund the difference 😃.

    Edit - I take it back it’s now thundering & lightning ⚡️ 😳

It's so miserable when having a flare up of foot issues as it's so difficult to try and walk.
To do list looks good and I hope your weather stabilises soon. So far we've had sun, rain and hail.
Your take-away is a good treat and much deserved 😊

We had quite a bit of rain yesterday but it brightened up around 6.30pm so I took the dog for a walk around the pond. I usually do the morning walks but they were both on late shifts yesterday. Saw the swans & their 7 fluffy babies.

Lovely sunny warm morning today so took the dog for a longer walk & had to take my coat off!

Boiled eggs and crackers for breakfast. Dishwasher emptied. Didn’t do anything yesterday apart from dog walking & lying on the sofa watching tv. Unfortunately resting just seems to make my foot even more painful when I get up. Will try to do some stuff off my list today.

Have worked out my budget for May. It will be an expensive start to the month as BG have taken the usual direct debit £80 and the new supplier has also taken new amount £96. I will get onto BG for a final bill and hopefully a refund.

Can you keep wiggling your toes and ankle, see if that makes a difference while resting?
Baby swans are so cute, mind you most baby animals are.
Hope you manage to get a few bits done today, the weather is definitely nicer.

Unfortunately doing exercises while sitting & throughout the day doesn’t seem to make any difference. As soon as I stand it’s like I’ve stood on a spike right up my heal and due to limping it’s triggered sciatica in my other leg.

2 dog walks. Loaded & unloaded the dishwasher. Watched the last few episodes of Coroner season 3

Contacted BG online chat and they assure me that my final bill will be by 16 May and any refund within the following 3 weeks after the final bill. I’ve also been told that despite my account showing a payment due on 4 May they will not take the direct debit, so we will see.

Had a reply from the shoe place and £3 refund is on its way to credit card. My next bill is due next week & payment due around 28 May so hopefully the amount will come off before the payment is due.

I’m hoping to not have a credit card bill next month. All the household bills on this months bill (house insurance/ shoes / hair) will be paid from household savings account. I save £100 monthly. Next bill will be car insurance in December.

    Annual/ household bills-
    Dec car insurance £217
    Jan breakdown cover £68
    Feb car tax £125
    April house insurance £201
    hair cut / colour £45 x 6 = £270
    clothes / shoes as needed = £100
    Other household maintenance £200.

Car mot £48 & service £193 due November and any maintenance/tyres all paid from car fund savings £50 a month.

Im so sorry about the pain, that's awful. Steve had a lovely machine for feet you put your feet on it and it helped with pain but he had other conditions. Is it worth looking online to see if there is a machine you can use whilst on sofa or desk so it helps manage your feet?

It's great that you are still walking despite the weather. We had hail in the New Forest and snow on the motorway and avoided this thunder and lightning.

I am so chuffed that you are planning for a non credit card month. That is very MSE and way out of my league at the moment but something to aspire to. Well done, I nominate you for an award. MSE idea of the month on this forum.  :)<3:)<3

    Thanks SW 😁

No more takeaways, cake or chocolate ! That’s the plan.

Today I wore my new walking sandals with memory foam insoles & took the dog across the road to the field. Still limping. She had a run around with one of her doggy pals & the ball. Sat on a bench round the local pond for a while on the way home and chilled out in the sun. Puppy dog loves to people watch & bird watch 🦢 🦆  😆 It’s sunny & windy here. Rain & gale force winds due around 4pm.

1 load of washing hung out & another just finishing. I have cooked Thai green curry (a kit from aldi only took 20 mins) and peri peri chicken (bottle of sauce from aldi) & roasted veg and will freeze once cooled for quick mid week meals.

That's a shame and frustrating when one thing triggers another. Give your foot time to settle, then your sandals will help.

Your annual outgoings look good. My car insurance renewal came through and it's about £5 cheaper, I guess that's the good thing about what's going on, less people having claims!

I'm currently buying all the chocolate and sweet treats, there should be a national shortage soon 🤭

    Meals look yummy.

Have been working out the increases in bills.

Have told DS & gf and increased bills money by £7 each a month. It doesn’t sound much when it’s shared between the 3 of us.

It's great that they will help out with the bills. Windy here and rain expected. Well done on washing I hope it is dry by you. Marking calls....
