So pleased the backdated pay is enough for a specialist chair. Great use of the money :)

That is the only advantage but it means you can save faster and retire quicker and buy nice things like a proper chair for your back. I hope you are feeling a bit better. Thank goodness for the weekend.

  • Met up with friends and walked the dog this morning. Lovely sun but bitter cold 🥶

They were talking about McD breakfast so I ordered one when I got home 😋 with a free delivery offer.

Feel a lot better today. Still no phone call from Dr yesterday. Hopefully will be back to normal by Monday. Will take it easy today.

Hope everyone remembered to change their clocks ready for British summer time. Not very much like summer today! Cloudy and blustery wind. Should be lighter this evening.

I need to try & cut the grass today or tomorrow as it is so long I will need to rake up the clippings. I don’t normally bother & my lawnmower is a small lightweight hover. My neighbour has said that I can use his green bin this week as he has space.

All food planned from stores today. Breakfast will be bacon & scrambled egg. Lunch will be sweet chilli chicken & salad wrap. Dinner will be spag bol using up the last crinkly mushrooms.

Planning to go shopping to aldi tomorrow. Will do more resting & online browsing today after walking the dog. I need to get a new parasol or gazebo for outside the patio doors to stop the sun as it gets unbearably hot in the kitchen in summer 🥵 Standard gazebos do not seem to be high enough as the floor of the kitchen extension is a big step up from the patio.

I've avoided the clock change by not having one, my phone and PC update themselves.

Grass clippings can go on your flower beds as mulch.

Would it be worth buying / fitting a canopy to your house? All the supermarkets have got parasols and scr3wf1x, DIY store ls have gazebos. I've been doing a lot of browsing to find the right thing for the garden to make the patio useable in the sun.

  • I don’t have any flower beds 😆

Still looking at gazebos, parasols & awnings / canopies. I’ve looked at all of those places plus online garden centres & studio & the range.  The kitchen is a single story extension across the back of the house & the floor is a step up from the patio. Whatever I buy has to be tall enough to be able to open the double patio doors but low enough to fit flat against the wall under the roof / guttering. There is not a lot of bricks in between the top of the door & the roof so I’m not sure it would take the weight if I screwed it to the wall. Will keep looking
