Oh no you are still in pain. Something similar happened to my mum years ago and she has a special cushion to stop the pain it might be worth trying. I hope you can get some nice jeans.  We used to have a local haberdashery shop in our town all those lovely places have closed down. If you cant find the press studs at the supermarche try online. Good luck.

Well done on eggstra cash from Amaz*n. (Groan to my joke) It's raining here yuk, please let it stop.

  • Don't rule out using the bay, just make sure you change it to UK shops and double check how long they say for delivery. Pound shops are always worth a look and some supermarkets have a sewing section.

Hope your pain eases soon. Double check your desk is set up right for what you are doing, I've found different tasks need my set up tweaking. Also do look into a special cushion, comfort is a must as I bet you are sitting around for longer than you would if in the office. Normally these things which naturally take us away from our desks when in work, now there are not those little escape things.

SW, your egg comment made me laugh 😁

SW your eggy joke made me chuckle too 😆

Its been raining on and off today and we have really high winds now. I have put off my trip to the tip to next Sunday as it will hopefully be drier & warmer. It’s meant to brighten up from Wednesday ☀️ That will give me chance to get some stuff sorted too as I haven’t really done anything since hurting my foot.

My arm & coccyx have been much better today as I have adjusted my posture & desk set up. I may have to look at getting one of those wedge coccyx cushions. In the meantime I must make sure I get up and move around. It was cold yesterday and I spent the day wrapped in a furry throw which meant I got up less. I am going to start and put the heating on for a while on cold mornings after all it is almost November! It’s meant to be mild tomorrow morning 14 degrees at 5am so that should be more pleasant. There is something psychological about not having my heating on until November even though it is only just over a day away. 😬

I’ve booked my mot & service for the middle of next month. That will be paid from the car fund currently standing at £580 plus £50 on 1 Nov = £630. Hope it passes without any further work. I’m having it done at a local garage rather than a main dealer this time as it’s now out of its 5 year warranty. It’s just a short walk home from there and I used them for years with my old car.

As it's really cold at times, do put the heating do for a little bit, it takes the edge off. There's only so long a blanket works.

I'm pleased you were able to get a little more comfortable. Do keep taking breaks, even if you stand and go to a window, have an extra brew. There's no way we stay sat down this much in the office.

Fingers crossed for the MOT. I still miss my old garage. Good ones are hard to find.

  • Definitely warmer today here, although a cold wind, I use one of those heat up in the microwave pillow things, and, put a 'hoodie' style cardi on. The pillow gets stuffed into the hood, and so stretches down to the shoulder blades, right at the spot where adding warmth there helps to warm the rest of you, and it's mobile too! It's got lavender in, which is meant to be calming, and I can 'wriggle' it flatter leaning back on the chair. Sounds convoluted but may stave off turning on the heating just yet. And I keep the extremities warm with thick socks, long sleeves over hands (those ones with the holes for thumbs are good for this as your fingers are still uncovered. Crikey, I sound ancient! And cheap!! :D

  • Aw SW Hope you feel ok don’t get a chill.

I walked the dog this morning at 7am it was warm & windy. Started raining about 9am and hasn’t stopped since.

Payday today so new entertainment budget for November is £50. I am going to treat myself later to a kebab 🤗 Should be under a tenner. Shopping tomorrow is cancelled due to the rain & wind. I am going to do some online shopping and use my money off voucher for matalan.

Have just walked up the chemist & back to collect my meds so I’m having a hot chocolate to warm up. ☺️

Jobs for the weekend- saw the end off the boiler cupboard door & sand the bedroom door. A bit at a time & rest in between!
