Oh no, I hate falling in grass as you dont see the holes! I hope you recover quickly it is so unfair that it keeps happening. I do hope it is not too painful and send you a big hug. Thanks for the good wishes. Keeping my weight off my foot & frozen peas have done the trick this time. Thankfully the sprain was not as bad as last time which despite rest & ice took weeks to heal.Yesterday I sat around & did nothing. It was very boring 😆 I read a book for a while & watched some tv & looked at stuff online. It was a NSD & it rained on & off for most of the day.Have just fed the dog & will walk her later just 5 mins across the road to the field. I will stand on the edge of the field on the path & she can run around on the grass after her ball. DS & gf have both been on night shift. Today I will do some batch cooking. DS & gf will walk the dog again later. All food was from stores yesterday. Today I will cook the 4 large loin chops by braising them in a pan with a lid, the chops will be on a bed of onions & water. The meat goes nice & soft & tender and the water and onions make amazing gravy. There should be enough meat for 4 meals. 2 meals will be with onion gravy, the frozen roast potatoes and parsnips I bought & veg. I will slice the other 2 to use in stir fry with Chinese 5 spice & noodles and in a pork & veg fried rice. I also need to make a chilli & some mince & onions & veg in gravy to go in the freezer for later in the week. The food I have in and the stuff I had delivered on Friday should stretch until 2 Nov and I will go shopping to aldi on 3rd Nov. If I need milk or fruit I will go to my local shop.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

The thunder & torrential rain stopped by 7.30am & the sun came out so I took the dog to the park. It rained just as we were leaving so we waited under the trees until it stopped & there was a lovely rainbow 🌈
Foot was ok just aches a bit & it was difficult trying to get my wellies off.Made a batch of chilli with half a pack of mince beef, peppers, courgettes, onion, butternut squash, 3/4 tin tomatoes, half a tin of baked beans & some kidney beans leftover in the freezer.Used up the other 1/4 tin tomatoes for breakfast with 2 eggs scrambled, one slice of bacon & buttered toast. Can’t remember the last time I had tinned tomatoes on toast. Also made mince with carrots, onions & peas in gravy. All meals portioned up & put in the freezer. I braised the pork chops with onions and had one for dinner with roast butternut squash, roast potatoes & parsnips and used up the last of the cabbage from the bottom of the fridge. Also remembered I bought a tin of rice pudding so I have had some for supper.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Fed the dog at 5.30 but cannot get back to sleep. Will walk her at 7.30 then working from home at 9.I have decided to wait until nearer the end of the tax year to claim WFH expenses. Then it should be a nice lump sum to pay onto the energy bill. Otherwise the amount will just disappear in my monthly budget.Have been thinking about jobs that still need doing around the house... and there are many. It’s going to take some time to get them done but I will look at doing them as mse as possible.-Take bedroom door off again and sand the bottom. It needs a bit more taking off as it is slightly catching the new carpet
-shorten boiler cupboard door in bedroom. I have taken it off at the moment as I couldn’t open it due to the thickness of the new carpet and I need access to the boiler.-Make net curtain for spare room. I have made one for my bedroom earlier in the year and have the fabric just needs sewing. This may be a job for my next time off work (2 weeks at Christmas)
-Sort head room in hall. There is a big wooden thing that goes over the stairs. It shortens the head height as you go down the stairs & people have banged their head on it in the past. I have no idea what it is for & I will need DFs help with this. He has said he will look at it next time he comes to visit (next year/once there is a Covid vaccine?!)
-Paint kitchen
-Paint hall
-Paint loft hatch
-Paint radiators
-Paint wood on bay at front house with wood treatment
-Sort Garden border by fence, put treatment on kick boards, lay weedproof membrane (in shed) get some more bargain purple slate from b&m, get 2 cordyline to plant up 2 tall silver planters (in shed) & place against the fence. The fence is tanalised wood & not painted so the purple slate & planters will break up the plain expanse of wood
-Woodstain kitchen door just to cover repairs where the dog chewed the door a few years ago
-Woodstain coat hook. DF made an extra piece to add to our existing coat hangers using an old piece of bookcase I kept, it just needs woodstain to match. The coat rack is the same colour as the kitchen door so a small tin of woodstain should do both jobs
-New shower screen
-Sort bubble in paint by bath & reseal bath (starting to get black marks on it that bleach/ mould cleaner will not remove)
-remove dog carpet & put down lino. I saw some off cuts when I bought my carpet so I will measure the room & go back to see if I can get a bargain. Will need to lift the old carpet first & check the floorboards to see if I need to lay some board over them first to get a flat surface.
That should keep me busy for the next 12 months 😆
