MovingForwards said:...Please try and pace yourself!Had beans on toast for breakfast, home made soup for lunch & chilli with rice for tea. It’s been cold today. Heating has been on for 15 minutes to take the chill off & will be on again later for another 15 minutes.Have been invited into town on Saturday with a friend. She wants to go to matalan. I have recently had a book through the post with a voucher for £5 off £25, £10 off £50 and £15 off £75. Not sure I will spend that much but I do need some new jeans, just a cheap pair for everyday/dog walking, some welly socks, a new hat & scarf and a new bath mat (our current one is rubber backed & starting to degrade/go mouldy despite washing). We will probably get some lunch too, not sure where yet.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

12 - 24 months is a good pace 😁
Have you a loyalty card for them (not sure if it works the same was a other cards or if it's just to do specific offers). They frequently send me money off vouchers by email.
You will find somewhere nice for lunch 🤗Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
Not a loyalty card as such, just a membership card which you have to have to be able to buy from them. They occasionally send you money off vouchers and a discount voucher on your birthday. You have to present the voucher in store with your “Reward” card to get the discount or enter the codes online.I remember when they first opened in the 80’s you had to pay to be a member (think it was £1 and it’s free now) but there were some really good bargains back then, it was like a huge bargain warehouse. Think they got hit hard by george/ asda0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

That list is huge, but great for getting everything in order! I quite like Matalan, especially for men's stuff and homeware. I can never resist the candles.2

I wasn't sure how it worked. Took the card when offered, added it to my other shop cards and occasionally look at what the latest email is if I am popping to them.
The clothes are ok quality, lasted me well. It's where I picked my clothes up to make nice interview outfits and my non-work gear when I was looking for a job.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
I usually buy my clothes from george but they have no midwash straight leg jeans in my size. There is no way I can get in a skinny pair 😆. I have seen a pair online at matalan £12.50, if they don’t have any in store or if we don’t go due to the weather I will order online. Also seen online 2 pairs welly socks £4 & quick drying bath mat £10.I need to get some press studs to make some fleece wraps for puppy dog’s harness belly strap as it looks like it may be chafing. She runs so hard & fast after her ball I don’t want her getting sore, especially when it’s wet. I have some fleece fabric which should be easy to dry. At the moment we are using an old thick sock with the foot cut off but it’s a faff to get on & off each time & harder to dry when the heating is not fully on yet. Not sure if I can get press studs in town. Maybe wilko or tesco? I know asda used to have a sewing section so may pop in there on the way home from town if I can’t get any elsewhere. I think press studs would work better than Velcro & would be on the outer part of the fleece wrap, so won’t rub.Have been snoozing on the sofa all evening and now can’t sleep. 🙄0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Took a coedine tablet in the end last night as I had arm pain & pain in my coccyx again.Arm pain is from current work we are doing which is data intensive & coccyx still not healed from when I fell on the stairs early July. Too much sitting around! Not much else to do in the dark evenings.Managed to sleep until 4.50am then “bing” wide awake! 😳 Fed the dog at 5am then back to bed with a cuppa but cannot get back to sleep. Will get up at 7am & walk the dog.Had an email from amazon they are refunding £1.39 for a broken egg in my food delivery. 6 free range were £1.11 plus “shipping & shipping tax” so was worth reporting, I wasn’t going to bother just for 1 egg 😁0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
