Not much relaxing SW 😆 I spent the weekend emptying my bedroom & getting rid of the old carpet. It had started to disintegrate after 20 years so it’s now wrapped in plastic to go to the tip.Sunday I did a bit of gardening & cut the grass, hopefully the last time this year!Today I went shopping & spent £33 in Aldi. Also popped to morresons & got some spirali pasta, chicken livers, 3 hairspray & 2 hair mousse. Meal plan this week is
- chicken & peppers with blackbean sauce & micro rice X2
- pork chops braised with onion & gravy & jacket potato & veg x2
-Chinese pork with broccoli & ginger & garlic & soy x2-Pizza
-chicken curry
-chicken livers with sage & port sauce with spirali pastaLunches will be fishfinger sandwiches, home made veg soup (Carrot, potato, onion), homemade butternut squash soup (on super 6 this week), Mashed sardines in tomato sauce on toast. Breakfast will be cereal & banana or hot buttered toast (yum real butter). This afternoon I went to the range & got radiator paint & brushes then I went and bought a carpet.😁 Found a perfect end of roll £99 with £5 for gripper (cheaper than buying it & fixing it myself) and £40 for fitting. It’s coming later this week! So I will be painting skirtings tomorrow 😊

I also had a look at soft furnishings in the range yesterday. Lots of lovely things. I’ve been looking online at a vase of peonies for my bedroom, the cheapest for £5 and the expensive £26 (next). I salvaged a glass jar from DS’s gf a couple of weeks ago, I don’t know what was in it but it is larger than a jam jar and has a lovely hexagonal shape. In the range I found a vintage bouquet of 3 deep pink poppies & 3 pale pink peonies for £3.79. Just the right size & look lovely 😊0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Wow, your 'new' vase of flowers sounds gorgeous Skinty, really shows how looking around properly you can add some lovely decorative touches for your room, and for me, the real bonus is you've created it and it's going to be something unique and original, not just 'off the shelf'... Yesterday I glossed the 2 skirtings that were still blue using up half a tin of paint found in my stash. They have dried ok so I will do a second coat today. Pic below, (not my room) is what inspired me. Bought a new throw £7.99 & photo frame £3. Went to McD using an old receipt & I got Big Mac & fries for £1.99. 😋 Spent the afternoon resting 😴😆

That's one beautiful room, it is making me want to get that furniture paint out and finally paint the orange pine 30 year old bedroom furniture..... Or I may just doodle about on the forums....."...when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains however improbable, must be the truth..."
