(Planned maintenance work by provider). I drove to the coop & got cheese, milk, bananas & tin of baked beans. Also black bean sauce for next week, just over £6. Finished my hours once internet came back, so by then it was tea time. It was so cold I put the heating on for a bit! There has been lots of mention of the new forum rules especially
- The purpose of this site is to help people save money, so please keep MoneySaving discussions on topic. Non-MoneySaving threads and posts will be deleted without warning
So make sure there is some money saving in each post ! ⚠️Finished work now for a week & the dog has gone on holiday for a week. I’ve got lots of little jobs to do
Buy waterproof spray for my dog walking shoes (saving money not buying new ones 😁)
Paint radiators downstairs- cheapest paint found at the range £14.99 for 750 ml. Was £19 upwards elsewhere! Saving money by shopping around 😁If the weather is nice I am hoping to meet up with DF one day next week. Also meeting with a friend for lunch. We will go to one of the places doing offers & keep it to under £10 each as usual.Plans for the weekend
1. empty my bedroom, rip up carpet & check underlay - hoping to get away without replacing the underlay.2. Light sand of skirtings in my bedroom ready for painting.3. Light sand down of 2 radiators downstairs ready for painting
4. Still using up leftovers/ batch cooked meals. I will do a shop on Monday
I will also need to phone the boiler man to come out & service the boiler ready for winter. We have had the heating on twice this week. Just 3 lots of 15 minutes across each of the 2 evenings, enough to keep the frosty chill away.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

So with PD et al away, you get a holiday too 😁
Always cross reference your prices with 3bay, especially when you have a few days planning as there are some bargains to be had and it boosts the n3ctar points towards Winterville costs.
Do the majority of the skirting before lifting the old carpet, it will double up as a dust sheet and save some tidying up afterwards; you don't want to be vacuuming the underlay if it's still viable.
Bin bags under the radiators, unless you have dust sheets or old bedding kept for these type of jobs.
Your bedroom is going to look fantastic when finished 🤗

Yup already checked Bay of E & anazon both more expensive over £20 a tin. Cheapest were the range, wickes & Robert dyas under £15 for 750ml. We don’t have the other 2 locally so the range it is !I already have a big roll of plastic sheeting & old quilt covers for dust sheets. I’ve checked the old tins of paint I already have & 2 are dried up, but 1 is non drip white gloss so that will do, there are only 2 skirtings to do. The radiators are downstairs. The dog has gone with DS’s gf to stay with her parents for a week. DS is working so he is around & will help me move heavy stuff. I don’t do their shopping / cooking / washing so no difference just no dog walking. I was still awake at 5am & had to get up with the usual back / neck ache but got a cup of tea & managed to get back to sleep. 😁0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Your home is going to look lovely, hopefully in time for Winter Fest....
Thank you for the reminder on writing more money saving stuff. I do feel I waffle on too much.... & not enough on MS!

I think we all generally mention something money saving but mostly we support each other day to day with ideas of how to save. I can’t see that they will read every post to check ! But I guess someone could report posts as non-money saving 🙁0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

I took it to be more of the other threads than the diaries. It's not just money saving we share, it's hints and tips too.
Slow and steady wins the decorating race, you are still recovering and have health issues to contend with. I'm so looking forward to hearing how it looks when done 😊Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2
