login to see the increases that affect you but look further down there is a button to press for special offers. ( looks like an advert window)
My sister just got Infinity 2 for £18.50 a month + anytime calls at £5.99 by using that link.
She was paying £24.50 for infinity 2 and £6.50 for anytime calls so a cheaper deal.0 -

Cheers, just tried that, all they are offering me is unlimited infinity 1 for £40.99 a month. I'm currently on unlimited normal broadband not fibre, time to move to someone else I think.0 -
Ok, gave BT a call again. I have not received my email/letter yet but the price is clearly increasing as i could see on the BT website published here.
I got told again i had to wait for the letter as they were not sure my price was increasing. I pointed out to the website where you can check if your account was seeing an increase. They then accepted to proceed with the cancellation, with no penalty charges.
Problem is that besides BT landline and broadband, i also have TV and mobile phone sim only. I could cancel the TV part of it as well, because it depends on the broadband. But not so sure about the mobile sim card, but i wanted to keep that one anyway.
After half an hour on the phone, we agreed to cancel the TV, and keep the landline and broadband for 18.99+9.50 (includes increase), 24 month contract.
This will save me 2£ on my previous promotional deal, on top of the 10£ saving for the TV. Also, if i cancelled everything except the mobile simcard i would be charged an extra fiver.
My phone line can only get 60mb max, so equivalent internet service elsewhere would be around the same price or more (considering instalation charges). The one i was looking to transfer was Vodafone up to 76mbs for 28£ all in. Now just holding my breath hoping BT doesnt mess this up. Although it was a problematic move to BT four months ago (Openreach fault), the internet works very well, and i am very happy with it. The TV part of it is poor in comparison with SKY and Virgin, and i had a good return to SKY deal.
UPDATE: trouble just started. It can never be easy with BT. Just got an email confirming the TV cancellation and saying that i need to pay over 200 pounds cancellation fees. I have been assured on the phone there would be none. A call is due tomorrow. The saga begins.0 -
Haven't had price rise email / letter yet but I have been checking my 'special offers' link which now has this (tbh pretty meh!) deal...
Unlimited BB (which I'm already on with ADSL2+ as none of the properties in my area can get fibre)
100 GB Cloud storage (already have but don't use)
Free BT Smart Hub / HH6 worth £129.99 (house is already fully wired to a stable HH5 so of little benefit)
18 month contract (currently on 12 month, expiring early April)
£32.99pm inc line rental (I renewed my yearly LRS just before rise announced so actually £14pm)
Didn't mention call plan but I expect it to remain unchanged
Didn't mention BT Sport (I'm currently on the free Lite pack thru the app) but I expect they'll ask me to pay in some way, either from April or August which I simply refuse to do so I'll lose that.
I currently pay £12pm (was the special offer I got in the lead up to the last price rise) so it's a case of pay more get less / stuff you don't need.
Thx BT - colour me underwhelmed0 -
Just left now after going to the offer page and them offering me a derisory £2.70 off my current price. They asked if I'd had the letter and I said I hadn't but had checked whether the price increase applied to me. They didn't even try to haggle when I said I was looking at Plusnet fibre with Youview was as it ended up being over £20 cheaper than BT with BT TV. BT retentions didn't even put up a fight when I said about cancelling, not a whisper, not a murmur. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
