  • Another update, good news at last! :j

August 2nd came and went, and nothing appeared at my door. Yesterday I have them a call and they said that there was no record of my email on file, so I thought aww f    . Anyway, I explained to the bloke that I had emailed it to the bloke who forwarded it to another address (after I told him the address he seemed to listen) and cc'ed me a copy. He then put me on hold for about 15 minutes...

When he came back he told me the good news. My claim had been processed manually and I should recieve a cheque for £120 within 10 working days. :D He also told me the dates my next claims were due (today and 11th September). I phoned up again today and the bloke I spoke to said to email him my bill and he would process it for me.

So it sounds good, but I think I'll wait for the evidence before celebrating too hard! :rotfl: If you have problems just keep persisting, it will pay off in the end!

Also rather than phoning the expensive Mobiles2YourDoor line, or speaking to the grumpy secretaries at the head office, you can call the free Phones4U helpline on 08000 725 855 and select option 3. You don't need to tell them you are with Mobiles2YourDoor, just give them your reference number. You do have to put up with the suicidal on hold music though.... The best time to call seems to be about 6:30pm, I phoned yesterday and today and was on hold for no longer than 5 minutes.

Sorry if this is submitted on the wrong thread.

On 12th Sept, I entered into a price match contract with e2save for 12 months min with o2.

Bill number 1 is dated 21st Sept.

In order to claim my final cashback I need th send my 13th bill saying I have been connected for 12 months. This will be dated around 21st October. I wanted to end my contact at the end of 12 months but have one more claim to make.

When do I give my notice to terminate without loosing my cashback?

Or do I give notice now and loose my cashback of £96? I pay £40 per month.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  • Do your research; bill numbers are irrelevant. You need to use the September bill to claim. Since you are with O2 direct and not cpw O2 you should get a September bill.
  • Just an update. E2Save have sunk to new depths. I strongly advise people with cashback contracts to take extreme precautions now when submitting their claims. Those who dealt with Mobile Affiliates sites in their last throws will know what I mean. Keep copies of absolutely everything you send and follow the legal t&c to the letter. You are increasingly likely in my view to need to sue to get paid at some point, even though they are still paying without problems in the main when you do things right. They appear to pick claims at random now and concoct all sorts of dishonest and untrue reasons for rejecting them. I am now extremely loath to take any of my people there and you deal with them at your peril. The legal terms at the point of sale bear absolutely no relation to those sent with the phones. The dates on peoples' accounts are sometimes vaguely correct but at others totally at odds with ALL the t&c versions (the legal ones and those they choose to adopt and constantly change) and even the legal t&c are often very confusing. They change claim dates for existing contracts almost daily (if you let them) and other details on a whim to suit themselves and their own interests. As far as I am concerned they are now totally disreputable and if it wasn't for the fact that suing is a relatively safe and easy process in this case I wouldn't use them at all any more! They also lie on the phone, on their website, in emails (if you can get a response in the first place) and in most of the information they provide at every stage. CPW themselves wash their hands of their subsidiary, distancing themselves readily whilst also lying about what they are offering. It seems the disease is spreading to all parts of this organisation.

Forget any good experiences many of us have enjoyed with them up until about 15 months ago - they are now truly diabolical.

Bought my phone from e2save on 24 Apr 08.
Its an 02 contract and my first bill is dated 25 Apr 08.
My first cashback claim as per their t&c's is at month 6. (send in within 28 days)
    I have just rec'd my 5th 02 bill dated 25 Aug 08.
Is this the correct bill to send them?
I have checked online and it says send month 6 claim between 1 Sep & 1 Oct 08. I presume this is correct as if I wait until my next bill dated 25 Sep I will only have 6 days to claim?
I have kept all the documentation and copied everything as advised by mobilejunkie.

    Success First Cash back received
We took the advice of Sid Harper and followed the claim form.

Our Claim date was the 15August, as stated on the claim form it said send your most recent bill, which for us was the 23rd july ,so no waiting for the 23rd August for the next bill.
We Printed off the vodafone bill and sent that with the Claim form( Recorded delivery )
We phoned them up to confirm they had received the claim, which they had.
So from sending it off to getting the Cheque back,it took about 2 weeks

    Thanks for the help

  • This is with Mobile2YourDoor. They are fine, However, those with E2Save face dilemnas now.

SCRIBES; your question is the one of the moment. They are deliberately misleading people. Read the threads; for the hundreth time, claim dates are usually wrong on their website so presuming anything based on those is extremely unwise. Bill numbers (again!) also are meaningless. Months are ambiguous - their definition for the last 15 months is entirely different to what it was before. It's anyone's guess what they will invent now. However...

check out the LEGAL t&c for this deal. You should find you have SIXTY days from the BILL date to claim. Further, one failed claim does NOT negate future claims and an early claim should not legally prevent a reclaim in October when (as I expect they tell) you the September claim is too early. Then again, their reasons for declining a claim usually get changed as you point out the t&c anyway! By the way - if your idea of the legal t&c is their email or what came with the phone, then you have failed to follow the basic groundrules and won't find the real ones now!

The t&c which really matter (as always) are the legal ones at the point of sale. On your deal even those are confusing to say the least. Count the months - September is really the fifth month according to the OneStop interpretation - which is what they've been using for the last 15 months. Before then, E2Save regarded it as month six. My strategy is to send the September bill if the t&c are the same as I think and either resend in October or choose to sue for refusing to pay on the Septmber bill. Of those two choices (if that's what happens) I'd go for the first in this case. As I said, it's historical and complicated and following automatic email or website account details is dangerous for a number of reasons.

Mobile Junkie, thanks for this. I copied everything when I made the order. Here's what it said on the website when I made the order: Yes it differs from the info they sent me with the order.
To clarify I intend to follow your advice and send my next bill (which should be dated 25 Sep - my 6th bill).

    Cashback Claim Process:
Instalment 1 - You will need to claim by sending the bill dated 6 calendar months from the month that you received your handset and you have 60 days from this date to submit your claim. Send us your claim form and monthly bill showing your name, address, mobile number and tariff you are connected to. (This bill must be no older than 60 days when we receive it and have no balance brought forward.)
i.e. if you purchased on the 1st of April 2008, you need to send in a bill that is dated within September 2008, your claim window is 60 days from the date of that bill.
