I have got a cashback deal with e2save. On the original terms and conditions from when i took out the contract it said that I had 60days to send in the bills but now it says only 30 (checking on mycashbackclaim). I took screenshots of the original terms and conditions when I got the contract but I will still be sending off the claim within the 30 days. Been reading up on this forum and it seems that I will have to prepare a LBA??

It's not a bad policy. However, you should be able to comply with both sets of t&c (depending on statement dates). Generally you can ignore whatever it says on mycashback claim - though copying all the changes that mysteriously appear there (none of which usually match the original, legal t&c) is a good idea. What will a judge think of this company when you show different dates and t&c from different points on your contract, when you only signed up to ONE set. This is especiallly the case when (except on one or two sets of the t&c) the proper t&c are ignored anyway.
ALWAYS follow the legal t&c; if you can also comply with all the varitations they concoct it's even better. Then copy everything you send, send it to the address in the original t&c UNLESS they SPECIFICALLY inform you IN WRITING otherwise, CHECK it arrives in time and then wait to see if they pay. Chances are they will - and quickly - but it's a game of incompetent Russian roulette with them, so if you're selected for their special treatment you will at least be ready and not put up with any **** from them. I have lots of contracts with them and usually it's fine. However, sometimes it's not and you have to kick 'em where it hurts.
I would add that you need to reas the ORIGINAL t&c (the 60 days ones) VERY carefully. 60 days doesn't always mean the bill can be older than 28 or 30 - though sometimes it does. Keep a clear and constant eye on the original t&c - their whole game plan is to ignore, confuse and constantly mislead/change them until you lose sight of what they are!
I don't take the people I look after to this company any more - unless they are fully aware of the need to tread very carefully and the high probabilty they may be "selected" for legal games. Besides - their site and deals are now complete rubbish!0 -

Apparently CPW are still lying to customers who are trying to terminate their old CPW O2 contracts. It may help if I reiterate that there is absolutely NO NEED for some invented "disconnection code" which they refuse to give you in time to properly terminate the account. They also refuse to give people the address, so I will give it again here - anything to stop this bunch of crooks from ripping off even more people. The address is:-

Don't bother calling them - simply send the letter 60 days before the end of the contract, giving them notice to terminate exactly at the end of the contract - and yourself plenty of time to re-send if you don't get written confirmation that proper notice has been given. I never used recorded delivery for these and never had any problems - but recorded delivery is a good idea for those not prepared to do it at 60 days AND follow it up after two weeks if they haven't heard back!
One last comment for those who still sometimes spring up to defend E2Save/CPW - just because they haven't tried to stuff you YET, at some point before too long they WILL! I recommend those people don't wait until it happens, but put their defences in place beforehand and do the research. There is plenty of it all over this site - and not just from me or a few isolated disgruntled customers. Two years ago I sang their praises, just as I do for Mobiles2yourDoor/Phones4u now. I was even accused on here of working for them (now THAT made me laugh!). Go back to the groundrules on page one - THINGS CHANGE!

Can someone, mobilejunkie perhaps, please advise me on the following.
I took out an e2save contract on 30 January 2008 and which I have no desire to renew. In my 02 t's&c's, it states /Notice to terminate your agreement must be in writing and delivered by hand or sent by pre-paid post to us a 02 UK, PO Box 202, Houghton Regis, LU5 5WA.
Is this the correct way of cancelling. Please forgive my ignorance, but up to now I have been upgrading. This was just an extra 11 months free on a 12 month contract to give my daughter extra minutes.0 -
This is a contract with O2 itself. You can follow the t&c as above (and possibly JUST get inside the 30 days' notice period before the end of the contract), but I would call them and give notice. However, in my experience they don't always do as they say so check two more times after giving notice, collecting the time/date and name of the person you speak with each time. Whichever mothod you use, 30 days' notice is standard and mandatory. In future, give notice to end on the 365th day 60 days before that date - this is the earliest you can give notice without losing (and paying) for part of the contract unused AND gives you amply time to ensure that the termination will be done on the right day. This applies to all networks.0

I wouldn't waste money on special delivery, especially in this instance. Recorded Delivery should suffice (both cover you for the same amount if not delivered and only an additional payment for both Special Delivery and consequencial loss insurance would cover you for more).0

I noticed that on the e2save site e2save have changed the address to which you need to send cashback claims. So I think I should still send the claim to the original address printed on my vouchers as per the terms and conditions I signed up to. Is this right?0
