Raphael - Hope everything works out.
Abundant - Looking forward to the February challenge
Everyone else - Thanks for all your good wishes. Hope you're all well and having a good day.
Had a really bad night last night. Didn't get to sleep until 5.00am and then slept in till 11.45am so all my plans for the day went completely awry. On the positive side since I didn't go out it was a NSD.
Going to Edinburgh tomorrow for a couple of nights. Been booked for ages and being paid for from holiday fund so not coming out of budget. Got a 25% discount on the hotel and have two 50% off vouchers for dinners (lovely restaurant just round the corner from our hotel) and a couple of BOGOF vouchers for breakfast (same place) so a pretty cheap break.
Grateful for
Getting to sleep eventually
Spending the day watching Marple, Misommer Murders etc
Nice easy dinnerHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Evening everyone
Raph - what a pain about the vendor of the house... Hope that it works out for you.
Quiet day really - not much to report other than my excessive use of the heating while it's so cold at the moment. Went out with bestie and spent nothing, and did tutoring this afternoon. Already wrapped up in my onesie and settling down for the night...
Today I am grateful for:
Good friends
Not having any school work to do
DD finding her inner tidy-up fairy:D:D
Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Today I am grateful for charity shops, for dd deciding she could manage without a hot choc when out, thus saving us some pennies, for local friends for dd to play outside with, for my bisuit-maing trials being a success, for my jamas being all snuggly.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

I'm also grateful for NSD days.0 -
Another small grocery spend today. But again resisted the luxury spends. If i can keep my cravings at bay over the next coupe of days, I wil have reduced that by £158.50 compared to December. Not had a single hot chocolate/cake etc out. Yay.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0

Today I am grateful I managed to turn MSE back away from some terrible format that was unworkable and ugly to the usual one, and only having to request a new password as it had thrown me out. Normal service has resumed.
Nobody complained at mealtimes!! Not one person. Might have been the bakewell tart on the table (no cherry - they would have complained)

Yesterday and today both NSDs (although I keep re-counting the toilet rolls - think they will hold out). Nothing to report, I have been re-assessing things (trying not to put myself under pressure).

So sorry to be absent this week. Going to catch up with thread tomorrow!
Rough week here. Nothing awful, just work stuff and sick children. Feeling grateful for the long term health of all my family.
Secondly feeling grateful that DH has started painting new wall in bedroom (where ensuite was built in Nov/Dec)
Finally very grateful for warm cosy house.
14/15 NSD. All thanks to you all and the inspiration you provide. Could still do better but so much improved. Have now spent £195 on shopping in January which includea toiletries and cat food for three cats. In Dec this was £400 and that's our average of £100 per week. I don't think that's bad for 5 of us and 3 cats really so to half it is magnificent.
