Great news about the house raphael :D

Posted my friends present and also did a small shop of bread, milk and fruit. I ran home from work today but need to go back in shortly :( due to staff shortages.

Today I'm grateful for yummy YS gammon steaks for tea, a message from a friend which made me laugh and surviving another hectic day at work.

    Evening!

First off - thanks Mothernerd for the book title. It sounds like just what I need!

Congrats Raphael on the mortgage too. Hoping to follow your footsteps this year - I'm keeping everything crossed.

    Today I am grateful for:
    I) The house to myself - peace and quiet
ii) A warm, cosy house to come home to
iii) Cups of tea on tap. Comfort in a mug

Bit of a crazy day, and glad to finish.

    Today = NSD number 15

I'm glad it's pay day tomorrow. Got a night out with work I'm both dreading (social anxiety) and determined to go to. It's for a couple of hours only so telling myself I have to try. Looking forward to a weekend with no plans - a blank slate.

    January's rules:
    Food - Continuing using up
Post 3 things that you are grateful for
    * I'm grateful for hot chocolate on this very cold day
** I'm grateful for the house looking tidy
*** I am grateful for my family
Work towards end of 2017 goal (weight loss)- lost the plot
Organise some cheap (free if possible) things to do with family or friends - making plans for a trip with the family at the weekend.
Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.
  • I'm off to bed - just wanted to say, I know I haven't been back on this thread long - but am very happy to volunteer and do February if nobody else wants to...

    Hi quick post from me.

Managed a SFD yesterday, joiner came and sorted door for now. He's going to fit extra hinges on them all as heavy doors. Not sure how much that is going to cost- next week worry.

I did buy an electric drill from Lidlee yesterday but took it back today, shame it was lovely light one but think I really need a hammer drill. It probably would have done all my needs but think be frustrating if it wouldn't have enough power and need to drill brick wall outsidex

Today got into work and hadn't been paid, tantrum time and it was soon in my bank with boss apologising.

Bought some veg more lemons so only small spend £4.

Freezing out there now, hung washing out as windy brrrr my legs froze only had dressing gown on.

    Grateful for
    Starry sky so pretty
    Chest finally feeling better
Sunshine on beach and having afternoon off.

I vote for abundant. May have got a bit more organised (and sorted the sleeping pattern) by March. I know I have done February at least once, maybe twice so I would probably repeat stuff about winter not yet being over and darkest hour before the dawn.

Abundant can get us all running (if not being gym bunnies). I did love going to the gym but can't walk there these days. Couldn't manage it from the other house and that was only a couple of bus stops away. Last week my local history partner was suggesting all sorts of activities for me to get involved in - he thought the treadmill at the gym would be more pleasant than walking round the car park and there are lots of activities (walks/ outdoor 'gym' equipment/ over fifties boot camp led by an ex-marine) at one of the local parks. The trouble is I struggle to walk to any of these places atm, let alone take part. He didn't realise I had to pay for buses.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
We have reached an agreement! Unfortunately I couldn't knock her down any lower, but she is selling with her ex, and he won't budge.
We love the place and are happy with the price so it's all going ahead!
Hopefully there will be no hiccup with the mortgage application now we get into the nitty gritty, but I am very excited.
My 2017 goal was to at least put an offer on a house by the end of the year, and here we are at the end of the first month getting serious.

    Also reached NSD no.15 today.

    I am grateful for:
    1) Seller accepting our offer.
    2) Slow-cooked lamb for tea.
    3) Nice chilled day off today.

    Congratulations:T:T
