NSD no. 14 today, not much happening apart from work.

Big news is we've had the mortgage agreed in principle :D so I have put an offer in £8000 less than our max to give a little bargaining room.
Agent has said seller wants to talk to her partner before replying so it looks like I've made a reasonable offer if it's being concidered and not rejected straight off. Apparently the want to move another city asap so are very motivated.
    Fingers & toes crossed please.

    I am grateful for:
    1) Mortgage accepted (in principle, still a liitle while to go)
    2) Burns night. Haggis, neeps & tatties for tea :)
    3) Another good day of training. I have given so much info to my trainee I think her head will explode, but shes keeping up.

    UPDATE:
Their first counter offer was £50 lower than our max! Seeing if I can bring her down a little, exciting!

I think that's what threw me, as you never sound like you are urban in your exploits, so I assumed home counties. Anyway! I shall put my nose back away now :rotfl:

I try to be as un-urban as possible! Cor, home counties = posh in my book. I feel chuffed you considered me that classy...:rotfl:

Today I am grateful that the chap who will buy our defunct car agreed to giving us £50 more than the original offer, that dd got really excited about some drawings and designing she is doing, that my only-fit-for-gardening-walking-boots are actually 10x more comfy and cushioned than the boots I currently use for walking and will work as a stand-in until I can get new ones, that I got to talk to big sis, that dad's friend is cracking on wth clearing the house for us.

  • Evening all. Not a nsd as I was so late home from work and ds had been so well behaved I bought him an ice cream (what he wanted in the sub zero evening). Got in at 7.20, did the daily housework and am just about to go to bed... Life is all a bit samey this week. Nothing mse wise to report.
    Today I am grateful for:
My ds behaving well on his own while I was hosting parent's evening.
Having food prepared to just heat and go when we got in
Always having someone to talk to

Quick check in. Sleeping pattern is not fixed. Clocking up NSDs. I now have very short hair (since 4am). I have been watching George Gently on utube and my hair is shorter than both Lee Ingolby and Martin Shaw (their hair, obviously my hair is shorter than them). Feel much lighter.

Grateful for my bed, books, lots of progress with sewing and for DS3, Beloved and their guest entertaining and feeding themselves.

An unexpected NSD today taking me to 12/18 :). I was planning to go to the post office to send away a friends birthday present but ended up working late so missed it. Present should have been £25 but got it in the sales for £7.50 :D

I arrived home yesterday to an unexpected bill for £277.98 from the council tax folk. I queried it today but it is correct :(. I'm going to go through the budgets and see where we can cut back, am also going to try and pick up some overtime and shifts for 2nd job.

Today I'm grateful for having survived a hectic stressful day at work, a very supportive OH and the means to earn extra money.

Just wondering if we had a volunteer for February yet?

    Morning all,

SFD number 13 yesterday :) Work and life seem very busy so a short check in again.

    Yesterday I was grateful for:-

    - losing weight at slimming world, even if it was only a tiny bit
    - having support from my lovely colleague and friend
    - a walk in the fresh air with two out of three dogs
    LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)
New roof and car £8557/£19003 New kitchen £396/£5039 Credit card Paid Student loan Paid
  • No NSD yesterday due to a coffee (£3) and football (£3.50)

Today won't be either as I need a little something for lunch (£1.50) and I'll need to pay for parking for a couple of hours (£5?)

Fairly low spends, so I can live with that.
