I actually did quite well with my ironing - just the Xmas tablecloth left to do as at last night - will be more later, as I have a load on the radiators and need to do another load of washing later today.

There's always ironing here - I don't mind ironing - I iron pretty much everything (not socks or pants or fluffy towels/ teatowels) - bedding, nightwear, flat cotton & linen teatowels, all clothes which aren't underwear. I used to iron bibs, babygros, little vests and muslins when I had babies too. :) Each to their own, but I would not wear something unironed, nor would I put my children in unironed clothes. I prefer the look and the feel - and fresh bedding which has been ironed is great :)
    SO it's a good job really that I don't mind it! :)

  • Morning, 3 nsd's this week, hopefully today will be number 4. I dont think ive ever managed that before!

Spent £45 on groceries for the 5 of us this week. Had a delivery on Thurs, so that should last us a while.

I iron when i need something, dd is so untidy that i stoped ironing a basketful at a time, and iron what i need for that day.

Today i am grateful for -
    1. Running lots of miles this week in an attempt to lose weight
    2. Low spends on everything
    3. A large chicken lasting 3 meals for the family
Still here..... but working on that!

    Evening

I still have not had a NSD. Yesterday it was my friend's birthday as so 4 of us went on a road trip to different seaside towns. I didn't spend too much money, and had a good day except for the driver being not that good at driving.

Today I took 2 bags of clothes to the charity shop. tomorrow I will be taking another 2.

    today I am grateful for
    - being alive following some horrific driving yesterday. Was dreading the drive home all day.
    - eBay, I have been clearing out my wardrobe today, and have a huge pile of things to list. I will set them up to auto resist once and will take them to the charity shop if they do not sell after being listed twice.
    - my own strength. I moved a wardrobe around today and was grateful that I didn't have to call someone to help me.

I used to work with a woman who regularly complained about other drivers and road rage incidents she had experienced. The first time I had the pleasure of going out in the car with her driving I realised why, she made full use of the whole road at all times, on roundabouts she like to try out all the lanes .
Excellent shopping trip. Jacket well under budget. Adding to my be thankful for today.

    2) A lovely evening out with DH. A great film Rogue One. A real improvement on the last few Star Wars.

    3) Finishing off the evening with the original Star Wars, cheese and biscuits and an indulgent chocolate cake (must go for a run tomorrow:D)

I feel like I must be one of a small number of people who has never seen a single Star Wars film - I always think they look really, really bad.

Calling - getting out of the house with a very young baby is sooo hard, I can remember one day with DD, it was 4pm and I just seemed to have been going round in circles with her all day, I got her all ready to take the dog on a walk around the block, it was winter and I wrestled her into a snowsuit, just about to put her in the pushchair when she turned her head to the side and threw up in her hood:rotfl:.

misstara - hope your phone turns up.

Me and DH cycled and walked yesterday, the bike ride was a very challenging route but enjoyable. Hopefully we will do it again today.

Rang Sky yesterday to get some help with our broadband issues and at the moment it seems much better. Fingers crossed it stays that way.

DS and DH have gone to football, they got a lift so saved on diesel there. I need to get organised and make some bread rolls and rock buns for lunch boxes next week.

    morning all

sorry no check no check in for a few days :o

have not been keeping track of NSD's as ended up having to get milk or bread etc for airbnb guests. but pleased to report i have had no unnecessary spends. have barely spent anything except on essentials and a few things with my xmas money since before xmas! except for a really cheap holiday to turkey, £228 all inclusive in may :j

Have got a few things listed on facebook selling. so annoying the amount of people who say 'is it still available?' and you reply yes immediately and never hear back!

today i am just pottering around the house and cleaning and decluttering. airbnb guests left this morning and no more until wednesday so going to clean the room and make it up and then just use if for drying washing.

going to ring up sky and negotiate as contract ends in about a month. cancelling the multi room as i only got it to put a tv in the guest room as there was no ariel so they can just have freesat now. i have the box set package and i'm debating getting rid as i can watch stuff on amazon or my sisters netflix. i won't get rid of basic package though as i like lots of stuff on sky1 and living. want it at least half price though. i am prepared to cancel though as i know i will get a better deal that way if needed and i can always catch up once its connected again!

Yesterday was a NSD - hoping today will be another NSD. We'll see. Planning a nice long walk this afternoon with the dog and the other half. The weather is perfect at the moment - not too cold, dry and no wind.

Cleaned the kitchen too this morning. I need to get better of keeping things manageable during the week, I'll try and work on that this week.

Edit: I've managed another NSD today so Im now at 5/15

    Things I'm grateful for

    1) clean and tidy house
    2) Relaxing weekend - I've not done much which is nice
    3) OH has taken it upon himself to tidy the garden - which is a mess - grateful that he has decided to clean it properly

Today I am grateful for getting out with dd (she scootered and I jogged, and we went via the playground), for finally starting a knitting project, for dd spending the day dressed as Hermione Granger, for a joint effort getting Christmas packed down quickly, for already filling 2 more Sally Army re-bags.

Quiet day here today. Just spent some money on essentials so son doesn't starve whilst we're away.

    Today I'm grateful for;
Son fixing my printer so I could print off boarding passes.I hate technology
    Having a nap this afternoon
    Being organised (I hope!)
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.
  • Hi everyone - looks like I'm going to bag another nsd today as I'm in the house, showered and wearing my pj's. I've had a nice day where I feel as though I haven't done much but I've got lots done. I spent a couple of hours this morning writing Year 11 reports, and have been at my mam's house for a few hours this afternoon. I've done the bare minimum of housework and all I have to do now is prep a couple of things ready for me and the kids for school tomorrow.
    Today I am grateful for
my dd's apparent new found love for tidying up :j
spending some time with my mam
not having to make my own dinner
