25 NSDs - 04/25 - Woohoo finally another NSD.

Food budget. £50.48/£120
Things I am grateful for today:
1) Tackling the understairs cupboards, I'm happier its all tidy.
2) A couple of really unexpectedly delishous satsumas.
3) Puppy has had no accidents today.
Hes a Manchester terrier
Our doberman passed away in September, and while we loved her, we wanted something smaller.

Very cute raphael.
I am quite pleased with how our weekend was, my car never moved from the driveway and the big family car only went out once for 1/2 mile. Me and DH cycled yesterday but I got a puncture which was a pain.
Kids were behaving badly last night and carried on despite warnings so they were both packed off to bed by 8pm so me and DH watched a film and didn't fall asleep.
Spent money this morning on dog food. Am taking mum to the solicitor this morning, dad died last year and we need to get advice on her affairs but unfortunately my sister and her family fight me every step of the way and yesterday ended in massive screaming fights on the phone - I can say hand on heart I really hate my sister.
greent - I understand your pain with your washing machine.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

PUPPY!!!!! Lovely, so cute.
Car failed it's mot and needs new brakes - £250. Insult to injury meant I had to take the train into work - £11 and I'll have to buy lunch in work - £2. So certainly not a NSD for me today.
Yesterday however was, so I am slowly getting there.0 -
Hello
Is it too late for me to join please?
If possible I'd like to have two targets, my budget 20 days and joint budget 15 days, can I do this? Or is it just a general me physically spending?
My goal this year is to reduce my debt by £1500 and De-clutter my house!0 -
Boo to car failing Mot Spekysquarehead, mine passed at the end of December but they said to book it in for February as it needed new brake discs and battery and 2 new tyres. Was surprised they passed it!
Duncan puppy is GORGEOUS!! DH doesn't want a dog, mind you he didn't want the hamsters and now he is more smitten with them than the kids.
Today I am grateful:
1) my back has stopped hurting - very strange, no idea why, but woke up with it yesterday, and a stabbing pain in my head that lasted all day. Woke up fine this morning! Hooray!
2) Leftover pasties for lunch as I somehow made too many last night
3) that GCSE options parents' evening is Thursday 12th and again on 19th, as I would have had to either a) miss it, or b) try and go with 4 kids in tow (shudder), as DH is in Portugal for 4 days this week at a conference.
4) Internet mortgage account banking. I LOVE being about to check it and shunt pennies about. And sometimes is it a matter of pennies.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Post as often as you can Hello!:hello:
January's rules:
Look at your usual food budget and aim to spend 10% less. Do a stock take of everything in your freezer/fridge/cupboards Oh yes... stock all done. We haz loads!
Post 3 things that you are grateful for each time you post. See below.
Post something that you would like to have achieved by the end of 2017 - think about how you will achieve this, break your goal down into small achievable steps. I would like to write some long prose again - it's been a while since I have managed any writing for myself apart from odd bits for performance. I'm mostly working on other people's things.
Organise some cheap (free if possible) things to do with family or friends. January is a long and usually boring month, it's nice to have things to look forward toI have organised a gathering at my house for end of the month with friends to do a dry run of a show I'm putting on for a festival in February. I could book a space which would involve a cost, so this seems like a nice artisanal way of doing things and should be nice and cozy.
I also want to plan in some evening walks with friends.
Three things I am grateful for today:- A colleague made some lovely cakes and biscuits to celebrate her birthday. A rush of sugar is always welcome when having to deal with tiresome things, as I inevitably have had to do today.
- I have some delicious pulled pork for lunch made by my SIL - part of lunch leftovers from yesterday that she put in a doggy bag for us.
- The existence of ginger beer! I made a belated decision to cut out the booze for new year. It is just getting worse for me. It just makes me feel anxious now. Lashings of ginger beer should see me through.
Keep reading books!
August grocery challenge Budget £150. Spent so far: £98.49. Remaining: £51.510 -
Duncan is very cute, but he is full of energy and as hes so small he tends to climb over us like a mountain goat and sit on our shoulders.
Spend day today, but it should be the last apart from grocerys for a bit. Did manage to find some work boots after 6 months of looking.
Both Subway and Bodyshop emailed me treats for my birthday, free cookie in Subway and £5 off in Bodyshop. I lost me emails when my harddrive died, but Subway honored it anyway even without the QR code. My £5 from Bodyshop was stored on my rewards cards. Gave BF the cookie, saved me the calories
I also picked up my free can of deicer in Halfords curtesy of O2 rewards.
25 NSDs - 04/25
