Another NSD today, but again because I was feeling crap. I am feeling a bit better after sleeping for over 12 hours ( got up briefly at 0600 to get DH out of the door and then went back to bed until 1300)

Worked out that it is now more mental than physical so went for a brisk walk and felt much better so did some paid work and cooked a proper dinner. So grateful for:

    1) Being self aware enough to recognise the depression creeping up and doing something about it.

    2) Beautiful countryside to walk in to perk me up

    3) Flexible working.

    Evening

Today I had my first NSD. Woohoo. I need to buy a lamp shade tomorrow so it won't be a NSD, but I was worried that I wouldn't even manage 1 this month :D

    Today I am grateful for
    - eBay, more stuff listed today and loads more to go which I will get through by the end of this week.
    - the charity shop being so close. I took another 3 bags over today, and started filling another one that should be full by Friday.
    - my mum, for cooking me dinner whilst I listed on eBay.

    Hi turtles,

Had a really busy few days. DS attended a party. Used days out budget to watch a rugby match, was a fantastic atmosphere and the £18 it cost included a new rugby shirt for DS, so can't complain at that. He also got to meet his favourite player AGAIN!!

DSs team also played this weekend but unfortunately one of his teammates broke his arm during the match (they are only 8-10 year olds) which was obviously really upsetting!

Done weekly shop and butchers trip. Got a new bed for DD and sold her old one, which left us in profit overall.

Lunches are batch cooked for the week and 2 evening meals are prepped ready to go.

So far this month is looking like:
    5 NSDs
    £117.92/£225 shopping budget
    £18/£25 days out budget

    Feeling grateful for:
DD loving her new, bigger, more comfortable bed
News that DSs friend is recovering from the op on his broken arm
DD making up a fun, free game for us to play this evening

  • Mixed day today. NSD 4/15 so that's good.
Eldest son was horrid tonight. His attitude and behaviour is becoming very disrespectful (he's 12) and I ended up snapping, shouting at him and taking away his laptop indefinitely. How do I stay so calm with some very difficult teenagers who wouldn't dare speak to me like he does (I'm a teacher) but my own son is vile to me and I don't react calmly!!! Makes me feel so awful.
Grateful for my other two children who have never spoken to me in any way but loving (yet)
Grateful for getting through a day at work despite still feeling a bit ill
Grateful for seeing some lovely colleagues today.
Off to bed. Still haven't watched Sherlock!

  • Morning all,

No NSD yesterday as my car was in the garage (£180). Today won't be either as I have boxing class tonight (£5). And thinking about it, neither will tomorrow as I've got football (£3.50). I think I'll get some fresh food in on Wednesday which should mean Thursday is a NSD.

Today is not going to be an NSD... I have failed at hail of the tuck shop man, so have loaded with crisps and cake. Sorry... so down today. Just booked the day off for my friend's funeral and I'm heading towards TOTM so grouchy, dispirited and slightly sweary...

Will make sure I do the cat food shop tonight rather than tomorrow so I can grab an NSD
    On 4/15 atm.

Things I am grateful for today.

    * Found 10p womble yesterday
*Just got a phone call from the bank asking to meet me as they think they can save me £15 a month interest on my loan.
*BBC iPlayer. Caught up with the very bleak Taboo, the new drama starring the awesome Tom Hardy yesterday, and lightened the mood after by watching Uncle. The boy band video cracked me up! There really is always a stupid one who can't sing or dance and just looks gormless! :rotfl:
    Keep reading books!
August grocery challenge budget £150, £90.14 spent in total - £59.86 remaining.

Day two off sick, had really bad night. I just hope over the worse now. Managed bit washing put outside as dry and windy. Made some veg/lentil soup. So at least moved about more today. Books got dropped off at library for me yesterday and no charge woo hoo. So SFD yesterday and one today.

Third of the way though the month seem to be on target so far.
    SFD 6/15
    Food 24/80
    Me 10/25
    Clothes budget 35/30 -walking boots
    Petrol 0/40

Got a bag here for charity shop. Been adding items as I find them - being collected on Thursday save me a trip.

Craving a beef stew so may buy some meat for my slow cooker tomorrow plus need to stock up on milk for the great snow that's arriving. So no SFD tomorrow.

    Grateful
Good friends offering to run errands for me.
