    Today I am grateful for:
    i) Technology. Appreciating my phone and my PC
ii) This forum. It keeps me focussed and I look forward to checking in with you all
    iii) My day off tomorrow

A spend day today after all. I'm loving my meditations and quiet time. Had a WEIRD night last night full of strange dreams... I did have cheese before bed... Is that an old wives' tale?!?! Haha! Maybe it's the full moon that's looming!?!

    Night all x

Today I am grateful for my walking boots, for frequent buses, for dh and I being in agreement about the car, for making a meal from leftover crusts, for dd's excitement about her forthcoming birthday.

    evening

today I am grateful for my great niece. I took her out in her pram today and as it wasn't raining i pushed the hood f the pram right back. She loved looking around and every time I caught her eye she had a big smile on her face. She is 4 months old.

One thing that occured to me was that her pram cost more than many of my previous cars!!! I didn't buy the pram so I suppose it doesn't matter to me, I just thought it was funny!

Thanks Bob, I am okay. Sorry for lack of check in yesterday. Did loads of sewing on Sunday night (well into monday morning) then slept for ages. No idea where the rest of the day went.

Today has been pretty full on, but I did the things that needed doing. Took 2 library books back and renewed the rest (I have read the most recent books, the ones due back today have only resurfaced in the last few days as I dig through the clutter - 4 started and then have disappearred under more urgent paperwork).

Picked up a parcel for DS1, quailed when the postman said it was large (had I got transport?) but unpacked it, gave him the box and paper filling back and put the 2 items seperately in my rucksack and small bag. Took advantage of the health centre I had to go to for the fasting glucose test last year - used their toilet and sat in the warm on a comfy chair to eat my lunch as I was on my last legs by the time I got to the sorting office.

Called at Icyland, spent a fortune (£93 have trashed my budget) but feeling very relieved. A lot of it was for DS3 and Beloved, mince so she can make loads of spag bol for him and a lot of chicken and chips to avoid the worst of the takeaways. Will go to the naughty chaise longue for now but hope to go the receipt tomorrow and seperate out the food for them. When Beloved moved in at the beginning of November I intended starting a budget for them (to establish costs) but so far they have paid for everything themselves.

Finally I had another doctor's appointment this evening. He has given me antibiotics (I didn't ask) and 2 months of my anti-depressants. he approves of my sleeping, reading, sewing regime (I have to get properly better). Got home at 6pm to find Ds3 and Beloved failing to fit everything in the freezer so had a quick shuffle through the drawers.

Bought an all day bus ticket but have done quite a lot of walking. Foot still hurting and walking is very slow and lop-sided. Have strapped it up firmly and added extra support to the instep which seems to be helping. Tomorrow and Thursday are not so busy but I couldn't fit the parcel collection in before my first appointments.

My freezer shop included restocking fish and meat (have been using up for the past 3 months) so plenty to build on when I am feeling better (should probably get me well into February). If I am not well enough I will not go to crafts tomorrow. Otherwise it will be bus hop or taxi (if I can't walk to the bus stop).

Planning to collapse in bed between outings and then stay in at weekend (snow ?!!!**?). I have achieved my savings target for the month (£50 over, even after today's spending and may be more as I paid double Council Tax last month). Hope to post the rest of my 2017 goals tomorrow.

Today I am grateful for getting things done (was a struggle at times), for having a full freezer, for having an hour at home on the bed to rest and rub my back this afternoon, for seeing a joyous little camper van painted to look like the 'Mystery Machine' (complete with 2 Scooby Doos, one with all his humans), for licks and snuffles from a guide dog puppy at the bus station (he came to us, think he was only starting his training), for a sympathetic doctor, for being home in a position that doesn't hurt my back and having easy food options if I need them (+ healthy bananas).

Duncan is awesome (puppy envy but chinchillas are good too).
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

  • Morning all,

I was meant to go to the gym yesterday that would have ruined my NSD (£5) however my friend had to cancel.

Today however I have football after work (£3.50) so I'll have to settle for a LSD.

    Have a good one .

Not much going on here apart from the wind which is dreadful at the moment and all last night.

Having an online shop delivered today, DD off school for an inset day which saves me 20 miles of driving, have walked the dog when I took DS to school and will walk again when the wind dies down. Will also go for a run but again only if the wind goes.

Sold a couple of items on ebay yesterday, one was a perfume which I paid £8 for and sold for £26 after using it a few times too, it is discontinued now which is why it went so high. The other was a bike which a neighbour left out to be taken for scrap, we asked if we could have it and then put it on ebay it sold for £20 - it was a vintage one.

The money from both those sales is now safely in my savings account. Also sold a few other bits and bobs recently and put the money into savings.

Well dragged myself out of bed this dark morning and arrived in work. Feel better, refused to look after grandkids after work, not fair on them to catch this, plus probably be worn out by then.

Dolly84 well done on your sales. Inspired me to have a look at what I could sell.

Decided not to be a Deva today and put off buying any food. Friend gave me some milk yesterday so really I don't need to open my purse. My craving for a beef stew can wait. Think I have some M/S vouchers hanging about so may use them up towards end of the week.

Abundant - must be the full moon I had the weirdest dreams the other night. No cheese either, just lots of different extremely weird dreams I put it down to fever.

    Grateful for

    1. Work - yes I have gone mad but was finding it a tad lonely at home.

    2. Payment from Quidco this am, only little amount but it all helps

    3. Motivation from you guys.Your ramblings do give me ideas, help when I feel lower than a snake's belly.

Sun is out so will brave the wild wind and pop to the bank.

    Afternoon everyone!

    Enjoying my day off greatly!!!

    Today I am grateful for:
    I) The sunshine on my Nature Walk :)
ii) All the help & support my PT gave me last year - I want to make him proud this year!
iii) The ability to wash and dry my clothes at home

So been out for a lovely blustery walk. Kerr-Ching! That's another £3.00 in my CASH BONUS fund for my birthday! I'm going to fire up the oven and batch cook some stuff. Can I freeze chicken once it's been roasted??? How would I reheat it? Defrost first then cook or can I just microwave?

Calling - maybe it was the full moon?!? ;)

Hopefully another NSD today! Catch you all later x
