Evening
I still have not had a NSD. Yesterday it was my friend's birthday as so 4 of us went on a road trip to different seaside towns. I didn't spend too much money, and had a good day except for the driver being not that good at driving.
Today I took 2 bags of clothes to the charity shop. tomorrow I will be taking another 2.
today I am grateful for
- being alive following some horrific driving yesterday. Was dreading the drive home all day.
- eBay, I have been clearing out my wardrobe today, and have a huge pile of things to list. I will set them up to auto resist once and will take them to the charity shop if they do not sell after being listed twice.
- my own strength. I moved a wardrobe around today and was grateful that I didn't have to call someone to help me.SPC9 #125 - £816.85

Excellent shopping trip. Jacket well under budget. Adding to my be thankful for today.
2) A lovely evening out with DH. A great film Rogue One. A real improvement on the last few Star Wars.
3) Finishing off the evening with the original Star Wars, cheese and biscuits and an indulgent chocolate cake (must go for a run tomorrow:D)Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
Took a huge sack of clothes to the big metal charity clothes box today.
Not a NSD today, again was very nearly but I had to go to do a small top up shop (less than £3) and DH stuck me with a list of spices he wants for something he plans to make in .......... the... future........ (swirling mists of tiiiiime) so bumped it up to £8.
On the plus side, apart from YS veg raid planned for tomorrow, I have all food in the house to do us until probably Wednesday including lunchboxes, maybe Friday but can't rely on kids not getting into the pantry. Might need to investigate humane child traps (like humane mouse traps but for kids who keep sticking their heads in the fridge/pantry for no clearly apparent reason).
Today I am grateful for (1) my little car taking me all over the place and not having to lug shopping bags around in the rain. (2) Pesto. So quick to make a meal nobody argues about. (3) Kettles and hot drinks - I feel like I am coming down with something but I know not what. General aches and pains for no reason, but lemsip or hot tea cures most ills in my life, which is something to be very grateful for.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Hugs to all.
Spend day - picked up Next sale order. Was pleased that I'm returning a lot of it!! Also few groceries. Always seem to need a few bits.
Still got a bad chest and feeling under weather with this cold. Fed up of being ill.
So much to be grateful for though.
1. Spoke to my Head of Dept and friend for ages on the phone. Ace.
2. Catch up with best friend. Lovely chat.
3. Gorgeous DH told me I was beautiful. Especially nice given I'd just got up and looked shocking!!!
Frugal tea of Quorn toad in the hole, veg and roasted parsnips. All from what we had. Only spent £25 on groceries this week which is ace for 5 of us! This has included milk (7 x 4 pinters), loo rolls, fresh fruit and veg, lots of fresh squeezed orange juice for immune system. Very happy with new frugal life!

I took the plug off the iron and used it for something else. It took DH 3 YEARS to notice
I used to iron, don't own a board or iron now.
When I moved in with my then-wife-now-ex I brought my ironing board and iron. There was a perfect spot to store the board between the fridge-freezer and wall, the iron went into a cupboard and was never used again. Five years later we split and she asked if I wanted the iron, it had gone all limescaley and rusty so I turned it down, then I mentioned to her she might as well get rid of the ironing board too. She replied "We have an ironing board?"

Spendy day today as we did a food shop. I did a short shift for 2nd job, popped into usual job and also went to see a friend before shopping. Somewhere along the way, I have managed to lose my phone  Going to retrace my steps tomorrow and hoping that I find it. If not, tomorrow is going to be a spendy day!Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.9.25 - £106,033.77

raphael what puppy have you got?
morhernerd well done on dealing with your mum and her partner, I know how frustrating it can be.
foxholes I never iron. By the time I put my clothes on (stretch them because I'm too big for them now) and drive to work in them, they soon lose their crease!
Today was a SFDWalked the dogs and made sure I got 11000 steps. Visited a friend and did a few chores at home. Also called v1rgin med1a and got a £19 discount on my monthly bill by getting rid of all the extras. I had to keep some of them when I took over the contract from the ex but have decided it's time they went so when I wake up tomorrow, I'll have just have the freeview channels.
Good news is that I have just booked to have a bathroom installed upstairs and with a bath. For those of you who have had to put up with my whinging about having no bath, it should only be for another 7/8 months! :j :jLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

For clarity and full disclosure, ironing is not something I am particularly known for, or very good at! Unfortunately current job is smart uniform that does require more than a shake out..plus I iron the bedding for paying guests (Usually...Sometimes I can get away with not doing so:p. Am gradually replacing older bedding with easier to look smart stuff). Anyway, thanks for the nudge GreenT, I blitzed most of mine, with the help of an hour of the Bourne supremacy too! Kept IB up to encourage me to do the last bits tomorrow, then that will be it for a few weeks!
Currently got a few things soaking in bicarb of soda in the hope they will freshen up. Found a few things with lose cottons etc. All ok for a bit more wear - aiming for the next size down before replacing any clothes!
NSD today. Visited two sets of relatives to make most of time in the car. Went for a walk by the sea to cheer myself up. Lots of odd jobs completed; came home with a useful haul of things from my folks
Grateful today for:
Amazing light by the beach when I was walking this afternoon
Snuggles from my baby cousinsuper cute toddler fun
Odds and ends gifted from the folks that will prove really useful around the house!0 -
