Almost the same but they haven't offered the £9 deal.
Anyone here know if I switch to a network that piggybacks on Three (eg. id mobile) will my Home Signal box continue to work?
ID does have it and there's a drop down list to check your phone model: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-advice/wifi-calling0 -
Any network that supports WiFi Calling won't need a signal box as your WiFi will give full calls and texts functionality. But you'll need a modern Apple phone or one of the better Android models.

With the additional proviso that most networks restrict it to contract holders only, and some (eg Vodafone) even to specific types of contract.====0 -
Vodafone works ok with a sim only contract on a Samsung phone (both J5 and A70).0

I'm amazed to hear that some networks restrict it as it covers up embarrassing gaps in their own signal coverage and improves customer satisfaction IMO. More fool them.0 -
All ID Mobile customers get WiFi calling. Three PAYG has had proper WiFi calling in PAYG as long as it's been available on their contracts. Smarty does not offer it on any scheme so a reason to avoid them. It's a pretty essential feature for me so that calls and texts work deep inside buildings like shops & restaurants where there's free WiFi.

Three is the only mobile network to offer it to PAYG customers.====0 -

Yep that's true but the phone is a One Plus 3 which can't use Wi-Fi calling hence my question. Looks like it's a "no" unfortunately.0 -
In November we signed up to the Smarty black friday deal offering 45GB data, unlimited calls & txts for first 12 months x £15 per month. So far the 45GB is not active on any of our accounts. Only the basic 8GB. No response from formal complaint and spent hours yesterday afternoon on a webchat to try and sort it. Also just learnt they have no agreements set up so the phone won't work abroad. Best avoid this company even if the large data on offer looks tempting. 0

Just curious what you're using >8Gb of data for on your phone, or are you running it as a wifi hotspot?0 -

Not sure what you meant there.
But Three does offer EU plus a long list of useful countries at standard UK cost so is better.
Smarty is useful if your need is a lot of hotspot use in the UK.0
