Also worth pointing out that Plusnet Mobile, beside the top deal in the article, also have an offer for 6GB of data for £9.50/month, with no minimum term (30 day rolling contract). If you don't use more than 5-6 GB per month, I think it's worth considering whether the extra flexibility is worth 2GB less of allowance and £1.50 per month.
On another hand, it seems that there are a few reports of number porting issues with Plusnet Mobile that take a long time to resolve, and also complaints that despite using EE's network, the reception and data speeds are not as good - since I'm not currently a subscriber, I don't have a good way of verifying this.
Personally, I'm going to give the EE network a try with EE's current promotion on their Flex tariffs - the offer is triple data for 6 months, so £10/month for 6GB, and it's effectively a PAYG.
I'm currently using Three, but I've had reception/network problems 3 times in the past month (either poorer signal than usual, or not being able to connect to the Internet despite having a strong signal), and after 5 years maybe it's time for a change.0 -

Black Friday Deals were a little disappointing this year for me.
However, I did manage to switch both my kids to the THREE sim-only (8GB/Unlimited Mins/Texts) deals (via Quidco) for roughly about £5.37 per month each – after cashback.
Which I think is reasonable, even if the network coverage can be a little patchy.
I also managed to switch my existing Vodafone contract from £29 per month with 6GB of data, Unlimited Mins/Texts to a SIM-ONLY deal with 11GB of data, Unlimited Mins/Texts for 9.35 - after my 15% cooperate discount.
All in all I have managed to save over £500 on mobiles for the three of us.
On the downside the OH decided she really REALLY ‘Needed’ the new Iphone X J and with my youngest needing mobile too this year (with staring high school). The savings I made with swapping to SIM-ONLY deals were wiped out with the OH’s new £44 per month contact and my sons £6 Pound contract.…lol
You win some, you loses some…J

I've been with Three for years.
Was paying £9.23 per month for 4gb + unlimited texts n calls.Contract came up for renewal in october, the best deal they'd offer me was £9 so I accepted.
2 months later it appears they haven't implemented that deal and they intend putting me on a rolling contract at a cost of £14 per month.
So after a quick googling I've just signed up to Plusnet,£9 for 6gb + unlimited texts n calls plus £50 TCB cashback which works out at about £5 per month in effect0 -
I recently took out a competitive Sim only deal with Vodafone for 25Gb, unlimited texts and minutes with £107 cashback. The deal IS competitive, but beware - Vodafone do NOT include calls to 07 and 08 numbers - so back to 'Say no to 0840' website!0

At least get it right. Complete nonsense to state they charge for 07 numbers inside the bundle or anything any time for 0800 numbers, for starters.0 -
Does anyone know a way of getting cashback if you are renewing with the same network? I currently have a simo contract with Three which expires next week. I am looking at a deal online for the same contract which gives me cashback but it's also with Three. Is there anyway I can get the deal without losing my number? Cashback is really sweet, so basically I will be getting extra money by keeping the contract that I have.0
