I took a risk on the lowest cost eSim for a trip to Croatia, knowing I could always just buy a different brand if it didn't work, and stood to lose a few quid. Worked OK - eSim.dog was the website and it cost me about £3 for 12Gb, and easy to top up. Not very polished (it said Orange France on the sim config page) but worked a treat for peanuts.
