1 hour online chat with Three customer services this morning.
    Beginning
You: I'm currently paying £11.40 per month for 30Gb.
You: The next closest offer on Three is £12 for 4Gb.
    End
Agent: To summarize our conversation, you have taken a Lite plan with 60GB data with unlimited minutes and texts for £6 a month for 12months. Along with this you also have 70 days Free EU roaming passes.
    1 hour saving over £60.

If Three had let me stick to the original cost, they would have lost out on £0.60 per month, but now they have lost out on £6.00 per month!

Top notch negotiation, end of month must be a good time to negotiate!
  • If my experience is anything to go by avoid talkhome. I applied to Home Energy for the Sim only deal via MSE website at the end of last year but it's gone badly wrong since then: I haven't received the Sim, they have billed me twice on Paypal, the customer relations chat has not resolved the issue. (Wait until tomorrow I was advised.) And now my virus checker blocks the link from the MSE website to the Home Energy website. Should MSE be promoting such a company?

At what point are you being told it has already expired ?  I have gone as far as I can in the process with no mention of expiry.

Any idea on what the difference is on EE between "25GB SIM" and "25GB Essentials"? £18.50 pcm vs £26.50. I can't find any breakdown of the difference on their website and the bullet point lists are identical.

Not certain but think the "cheaper" price is for a 24 mth contract, the other is for a rolling 1 month.

Both are still expensive, but discounted EE deals are hard to find (unless you have BT/EE broadband).

If you want 25GB on EE you could try 1p Mobile for £10. They have full EE network access with VoLTE, WiFi calling, no speed cap and inclusive EU roaming:
